Job Summary
The Production Engineer will oversee and manage production operations to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective fabrication processes. This includes handling production planning, raw material forecasting, quality control, progress monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role demands close coordination with design, projects, and material control teams to meet project requirements while adhering to safety, quality, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and manage drawing packages and requisitions to ensure all necessary data is available.
- Plan and allocate fabrication drawings based on project schedules and shop requirements.
- Monitor production progress, address delays, and ensure the project stays on track.
- Document and communicate changes in drawings or requirements during production.
- Coordinate with teams for material availability, design approvals, and site requirements.
- Maintain records for raw materials, cutting plans, and production reports.
- Prepare daily and periodic reports for management.
- Ensure effective use of raw materials to minimize waste and manage reconciliation.
- Support process improvements and ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as needed to support production goals.
Skills
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering is essential.
Desired Skills
- 8+ years of relevant experience in production, fabrication, or related fields.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Outlook, and MS Project is mandatory.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
