We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Safety Engineer with proven experience in the construction industry, particularly in steel structure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations while supporting the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects across the UAE.<br>Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with project HSE plans, UAE safety regulations, and client requirements. Prepare and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). Identify hazards associated with construction activities such as working at height, excavation, lifting operations, and hot works. Conduct safety induction for new workers. Train workers on PPE usage, emergency procedures, and safe work practices. Review and monitor PTW for high-risk activities (confined spaces, lifting, hot work, etc.). Ensure permits are properly issued, validated, and closed after completion. Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions. Prepare incident reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions. Ensure all workers are provided with and correctly using PPE (helmets, gloves, harnesses, etc.). Inspect safety equipment such as scaffolding, lifting gear, fire extinguishers, and machinery safety devices. Maintain HSE records including inspection reports, audit reports, training records, and incident logs. Ensure emergency response plans are in place and communicated. Conduct emergency drills (fire, evacuation, rescue operations). Coordinate with first aid teams and emergency responders. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations in the UAE.<br>Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Professional HSE certification such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, OSHA, or an equivalent qualification. <br>Required Skills Strong understanding of steel structure fabrication, installation, and construction processes. Excellent project coordination and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail. Ensure the closure of Quality requirements for project closeout and provide input to project lessons learned. Control all quality documentation during & upon completion of the Project. Upload the inspection reports and releases to the document management system. Check and review the E&I vendor manufacturing records books (MRB). Review and approve 3 rd -party inspection invoices. Liaise with the Client Quality representative as appropriate. Capture client feedback and monitor resulting improvement actions.
