<span>We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Infectious Diseases to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team in Abu Dhabi.<br> The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with a wide range of infectious diseases while providing expert consultation on antimicrobial therapy, infection prevention, and antimicrobial stewardship.<br> The Consultant will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of patient care and infection control.<br> Key Responsibilities Diagnose and manage bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections in both inpatient and outpatient settings.<br> Evaluate and manage complex infectious diseases, including sepsis, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, tropical diseases, healthcare-associated infections, and multidrug-resistant organisms.<br> Provide expert consultation to physicians across all specialties regarding infectious disease management.<br> Lead antimicrobial stewardship initiatives to promote the appropriate use of antimicrobial agents.<br> Collaborate with the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team to reduce healthcare-associated infections.<br> Interpret microbiology, serology, molecular diagnostic tests, and imaging studies relevant to infectious diseases.<br> Develop evidence-based treatment plans and monitor patient outcomes.<br> Participate in outbreak investigations, surveillance activities, and hospital infection control programs.<br> Educate patients, families, and healthcare professionals on infection prevention, vaccination, and antimicrobial resistance.<br> Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and DOH regulations.<br> Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, research, quality improvement initiatives, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).<br> Supervise junior physicians, residents, and medical students where applicable.<br> Participate in on-call duties as required.<br> Private Health Insurance Paid Time Off Training & Development Performance Bonus Our team will provide complete assistance throughout the process, including: * Licensing guidance and application support * Credential verification, DataFlow, and documentation assistance * Guidance for exam scheduling and registration procedures * Relocation support across the Middle East * Smooth onboarding coordination with the clinic / hospital * Dedicated support until all joining formalities are completed Qualifications MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.<br> MD/DNB/Arab Board/CCT/American Board or equivalent qualification in Internal Medicine.<br> Fellowship or recognized subspecialty qualification in Infectious Diseases .<br> Valid DOH License or DOH Eligibility Letter in Infectious Diseases.<br> Minimum 5-10 years of post-specialty experience , including experience as a Consultant in Infectious Diseases.<br> Experience in antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention, and management of complex infectious diseases is highly desirable.<br> Required Skills Advanced expertise in diagnosing and managing infectious diseases.<br> Strong knowledge of antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention practices.<br> Excellent clinical judgment and diagnostic skills.<br> Strong communication and multidisciplinary collaboration abilities.<br> Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.<br> Leadership and mentoring skills.<br> Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.<br></span> </div>
