<p>The Civil Inspector will be responsible for monitoring and inspecting all civil construction activities for the SWRO desalination project in Fujairah, UAE. The role ensures that all site works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. <p>We are seeking a QA/QC Civil Engineer with experience in the building construction industry to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout project execution. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of construction quality processes, inspections, and compliance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
• Inspect and monitor civil and structural works at various stages of construction.
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and ITPs.
• Conduct inspections for concrete, reinforcement, formwork, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, and other finishing works.
• Prepare and coordinate Inspection Requests (IR/WIR) and maintain quality records.
• Review material approvals, test certificates, and relevant quality documentation.
• Identify non-conformities and coordinate NCR issuance, corrective actions, and closure.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, site engineers, and project teams regarding quality requirements.
• Monitor concrete works, including slump tests, cube tests, and concrete pouring inspections.
• Maintain inspection reports, checklists, test reports, and QA/QC documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project QA/QC procedures, HSE requirements, and applicable construction standards.</p><p>Key Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in QA/QC for building construction projects.
• Experience in conducting site inspections, material inspections, and quality audits.
• Good knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, method statements, and project documentation.
• Familiarity with relevant construction codes, standards, and quality regulations.
• Ability to identify non-conformities, recommend corrective actions, and maintain QA/QC records.
• Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities:Carry out civil and structural inspections in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and authority requirements. Inspect excavation, reinforcement, formwork, concrete works, blockwork, plaster, screed, waterproofing support works, and related civil activities. Review WIRs and verify that works are ready for inspection before acceptance or comment by the Supervision Consultant. Carry out initial reviews of civil/structural shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and related technical documents under the direction of the Resident Engineer and provide comments/recommendations for the Resident Engineer’s review. Check materials delivered to site against approved MIRs, specifications, approved samples, and report discrepancies. Monitor workmanship, line, level, tolerance, protection of work, curing, testing, and general compliance with approved procedures. Coordinate with the Contractor’s site team and testing laboratory for sampling, testing, and required inspection records. Identify non-conforming works, quality concerns, and unsafe practices, and report them promptly to the Resident Engineer. Maintain daily site records, inspection notes, photographs, status updates, and follow up close-out of Supervision Consultant’s comments, NCRs, snags, and civil inspection observations.

<p>Site Engineer responsible for day-to-day engineering and site supervision of civil and structural works for the OCW Project. The role will include planning and coordinating site activities, ensuring execution in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements, coordinating with subcontractors and site teams, monitoring progress and quality, arranging inspections/WIRs, resolving site technical issues, and maintaining relevant engineering records and documentation. The candidate shall be capable of independently managing assigned site activities and coordinating effectively with the Project Manager, Technical Office, QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure safe, timely and compliant execution of the works. </p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Strong site supervision and coordination skills.

Position Title: Civil Site Engineer (High-Rise Construction) Department: Construction / Project Execution Location: Ajman, UAE Employment Type: Full-Time Reporting To: Project Manager / Construction Manager Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Civil Site Engineer with strong expertise in high-rise building construction projects in the UAE to manage and supervise daily site activities, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 4+ years of UAE experience in high-rise construction projects, with strong technical knowledge of structural works, finishing works, site coordination, subcontractor management, and quality control. The candidate should have hands-on experience working on high-rise residential, commercial, or mixed-use towers and must be capable of independently managing site execution activities while coordinating with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and project management teams. Key Responsibilities1. Site Execution & Supervision Supervise and monitor daily construction activities at the project site to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Manage site activities related to high-rise structural works, concrete works, reinforcement, formwork, blockwork, plastering, and finishing works. Ensure construction activities are completed according to approved project schedules and milestones. Coordinate with subcontractors, supervisors, foremen, and labor teams to ensure smooth project execution. Provide technical guidance and resolve site-related issues promptly. Monitor manpower, equipment, and material utilization at site.2. Structural Works Management Strong knowledge of high-rise structural construction including:Raft foundation works Piling works coordination Basement construction Reinforcement works Formwork systems Concrete pouring activities Core wall construction Slabs, beams, columns, and shear walls Post-tensioning works (where applicable) Review structural drawings and ensure correct implementation at site. Conduct inspections before and during concrete pouring activities. Coordinate with surveyors to ensure proper levels, alignment, and dimensions.3. Quality Control & Inspection Ensure all works comply with approved method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and project specifications. Coordinate with QA/QC engineers and consultants for inspections and approvals. Raise inspection requests (IRs) and ensure approvals are obtained before proceeding with activities. Identify defects, non-conformities, and quality issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Maintain high construction quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.4. Drawing Review & Technical Coordination Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings for coordination and execution purposes. Identify discrepancies and coordinate with the Project Manager and consultants for clarification. Prepare technical queries (RFIs) whenever required. Ensure latest approved drawings are available and followed at site. Coordinate with MEP teams to avoid clashes and ensure proper integration of services.5. Subcontractor Management Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements. Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors and provide necessary technical support. Verify subcontractor work progress and quality standards. Assist in evaluating subcontractor productivity and performance.6. Progress Monitoring & Reporting Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, and work records. Monitor project progress against approved schedules. Report delays, risks, and site issues to the Project Manager. Support preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports. Maintain proper documentation of site activities.7. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance Ensure all site activities comply with UAE health and safety regulations. Follow company HSE policies and site safety procedures. Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe practices. Ensure workers use appropriate PPE and follow safety requirements. Immediately report accidents, incidents, and safety concerns.8. Material & Resource Management Monitor incoming materials and verify compliance with approved specifications. Coordinate material inspections and approvals. Ensure proper storage and handling of construction materials. Assist in material planning to avoid delays in construction activities. Required Qualifications & Experience Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. Experience:Minimum 4+ years of UAE experience as a Civil Site Engineer in high-rise construction projects. Proven experience working on residential towers, commercial towers, or mixed-use high-rise developments. Strong practical knowledge of UAE construction standards and procedures.
