Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA, NEBOSH, and ISO 45001, during all phases of mechanical work. Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials and equipment that meet project specifications and budget constraints. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and quantity surveyors within the team. Prepare and present detailed project reports to stakeholders, including clients and senior management. Support the adoption of digital construction tools, such as BIM, for enhanced project efficiency and accuracy.<br><br>Required Qualifications<br><br>Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution. Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering and quantity surveying within the construction industry. Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration or eligibility for registration. Proficiency in Primavera P6, Auto CAD, and BIM tools such as Revit. Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC), ARAMCO standards, and other relevant regulations. Demonstrated expertise in cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and contract management. Familiarity with safety standards, including OSHA, NEBOSH, and ISO 45001. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.<br><br>Preferred Qualifications<br><br>Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management. Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent. Experience working on mega-projects or Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives. Knowledge of green building standards such as LEED, Estidama, or Mostadam. Proficiency in advanced cost management software like Cost X or Plan Swift.<br><br>Working Conditions<br><br>Based in Makkah, with occasional travel to project sites across the Kingdom. Primarily site-based, requiring regular interaction with construction teams and contractors. Exposure to outdoor conditions, including high temperatures typical of the Saudi climate. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided and mandatory on-site.
