The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and technical-commercial proposals for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and related building maintenance/project works.</p><p><strong>Role Description</strong></p><p>This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai for a <strong>MEP Estimation Engineer</strong>. The role involves reviewing drawings, specifications, tender documents, site inspection reports, and client requirements to prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs. The candidate will coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, project engineers, procurement teams, and management to ensure accurate pricing, scope coverage, and commercially viable proposals.</p><p>The Estimation Engineer will support tender submissions, quotation preparation, value engineering, cost comparison, supplier follow-ups, and proposal documentation. He will be initiating all credit change orders whenever applicable.</li><li>Facilitate the contract close-out procedures to ensure that all terms and conditions of contracts have been complied with prior to final payment to the contractor.</li><li>Ensure that all contractual procedures are implemented and maintained.</li><li>Assist in the review of Contractor’s claims in accordance with the provisions of the Conditions of Contract and ensures the Client’s interests are protected.</li><li>Ensure all warranties, bonds, insurances, guarantees, etc., are in place, maintained, and updated in accordance with the Contract and are in compliance with the Client's requirements.</li><li>Contract Closeout: document items to be completed, amounts to be withheld for final completion, review taking over the certificate.</li><li>Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of Engineer’s Instructions Variation Orders, and Claim Logs</li><li>Assist in the preparation of Monthly Progress Reports.</li><li>Assist on all contractual and commercial matters.</li><li>Validate the Consultants &amp; Contractor's interim and final payment applications from a commercial perspective and any variation from the GMP figures (rates, Contractor compliance of payment rules as per the Contract, retentions, back-charges, fees, taxes, etc.).</li><li>Assist the Estimation and Project Control teams in respect of contractual implications of change orders</li><li>Organizes, chairs &amp; records Commercial Meetings and records minutes of meetings.</li><li>Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within Hill International, and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/client department head.</li></ul><p><br></p> </div><h2 class="h5">Skills</h2> <div data-jb-field="skills"><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.</li><li>Must have a minimum of 20 years’ experience with strong international experience.</li><li>Preferably a chartered member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).</li><li>Strong background and understanding of FIDIC forms of Contract, particularly design &amp; build.</li><li>Knowledgeable in all contractual &amp; legal matters relevant to the industry, including claim management.</li><li>Great leadership and organizational skills.</li><li>An excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic is desirable.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience of working internationally (preference for GCC).</li></ul><p><br></p></div>
