<p>The <strong>Cataloging and Metadata Librarian</strong> role provides specialized cataloging and metadata expertise for the management of print and online resources. Reporting to the Associate University Librarian for Technology and Technical Services, the areas of responsibility for this role include day-to-day coordination of assigned technical services staff and processes, database maintenance, cataloging, technical processing, as well as working with vendors such as OCLC. The position shares responsibility for acquisitions, serials, and document delivery. Other responsibilities include providing liaison services (collection development, instruction, and outreach) to assigned academic departments; participating in ongoing professional development activities.</p><br>
<p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p><br>
<ul>
<li>Cataloging both print and electronic resources using recognized standards including AACR2, LCSH, LC, MARC21, and relevant metadata standards.</li>
<li> Provision of reference assistance (face-to-face and virtual).</li>
<li> Manage deposit of outputs into the AUS institutional repository.</li>
<li> Coordinating the Archives Specialist and Archives functions.</li>
<li> Coordinating Copyright services, including rights management / course pack processes.</li>
<li>Departmental liaison responsibilities, including collection development and maintenance, instruction, and other professional activities.</li>
<li>To foster and maintain strong links and networks with regional and international partners and within the sector, showcasing and disseminating best practice.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required qualifications and professional experience</strong></p><br>
<ul>
<li>An ALA-accredited (or equivalent) Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS).</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>A minimum of two years of relevant experience in academic libraries.</li>
<li>Direct experience with cataloging, both print and electronic resources.</li>
<li>Significant practical experience of engaging proactively with faculty and researchers.</li>
<li>Experience supervising paraprofessionals in an academic library.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>Skills & Competencies:</u></strong></p><br>

<li>Experience in international academic librarianship, preferably with an American curriculum institution.</li>

Manage accurate data on applications, enrolments, and registrations to ensure accurate figures are available daily. Meet with enrolled parents, explain registration procedures, curriculum, fee structure, e SIS regulations and ensure all documentation is completed effectively. Respond to registration enquiries, telephone calls and emails in a timely and courteous manner. Oversee the assessments process with the academic team as required, to ensure the enrolment process is efficient. Oversee the waiting list (if applicable), maintain standard communication with the waitlisted parents in a timely manners and update on the application status accordingly. Manage the registration files for all new and existing students.<br><br><br>Specific Duties<br><br>Keep up to date with the rules and regulations of ADEK and ensure compliance during the enrolment and completing the registration process. Managing e SIS (student information system) including student registration, withdrawals, transfers, and pre-transition. Develop and maintain strong relationship with ADEK’s student affairs department. Ensure that all parents facing areas are clean, uncluttered and convey a welcoming environment to students and parents. Manage leads and qualify enquiries and be the first point of contact for prospective parents. As part of the Front of House team, ensure high quality delivery of school tours to parents and visitors as required. Attend SLT meetings when required to update on enrolments at the school. Work with the PRE to identify strategies for attracting new enrolments and student retention. Manage the reenrollment process for existing parents in conjunction with the PRE, providing regular analysis of the updates to the Head of Enrolments and Principal. Provide the Head of Enrolments with weekly and monthly reports and projections on enrolments Attend networking events to promote the school. Organise and attend enrolment events for the school. Job Overview<br>To work closely with the IT Management to ensure successful implementation of project management standards, processes, and governance across the organization. This role will be focused on tracking projects and changes, as well as supporting project managers and ensuring projects are delivered within budget, scope & time. The change coordinator will be responsible for monitoring project progress, perform risk management, and help in creating project insights for the stakeholders. The role also supports change management specific areas of responsibility involve monitoring change requests on the IT service desk to ensure compliance with the IT service management framework requirements and coordinating between the implementors and the respective change advisory boards (CAB) for smooth transition of change requests. The position requires knowledge of enterprise application landscapes, specifically SAP S/4HANA, to coordinate environment changes, transport releases, and operational impacts effectively.<br>Key Accountabilities<br>Business Performance<br>Ensure timely preparation and distribution of project and ticket status reports to relevant stakeholders. Monitor ongoing projects to ensure timely execution and completion, tracking that each stage is completed within the determined parameters. Create and maintain all project artifacts and communicate to relevant stakeholders at the appropriate point in time. Conduct regular project status calls weekly and monthly. Manage and recommend improvements to project methodologies as needed. Keep records of all IT governance meetings. Prepare and distribute minutes of meetings to relevant stakeholders. Support the IT compliance team by ensuring adherence to process, policies and procedures. Prepare weekly/monthly reports and distribute them to relevant stakeholders. Role Overview The HR Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive support across HR operations, payroll administration, employee lifecycle management, visa and immigration processes, employee relations, and HR administration. The role ensures the effective implementation of HR policies, processes, and compliance requirements while delivering a positive employee experience and supporting the day-to-day operations of the HR function. <br>Key Responsibilities:<br>1. HR Administration & Records Maintain and update employee records, HRIS data, personnel files, databases, and spreadsheets. Prepare HR documents including employment contracts, letters, salary certificates, confirmations, transfers, and contract renewals. Ensure employee information is maintained accurately and confidentially. Maintain employee leave records and prepare leave accrual reports. Support the administration of employee benefits and employment-related documentation. 2. Liaise with PROs, government authorities, and external service providers regarding immigration and labour matters. Ensure all visa and labour documentation is maintained and processed in a timely manner. Support employees with labour contracts, immigration documentation, and government-related requirements. Track visa expiry dates and ensure compliance with local regulations. Develop and maintain effective relationships with government authorities, PROs, external service providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient processing of employee matters. 5. Onboarding, Offboarding & Employee Lifecycle Management Coordinate onboarding activities for new employees, including employment documentation, induction schedules, system access requests, and new hire communications. Ensure all onboarding documentation is completed and maintained in employee records. Liaise with internal stakeholders to facilitate a smooth onboarding experience for new joiners. Support employees during their onboarding period and respond to onboarding-related queries. Coordinate employee exit processes, including resignations, redundancies, terminations, and retirements. Prepare full and final settlement calculations and supporting documentation. Organize exit interviews and document employee feedback. Coordinate employee clearances, company asset returns, visa cancellations, and final payroll processing.
