Role Summary The Laser Therapist will be responsible for conducting laser hair removal, aesthetic laser procedures, skin treatments, and related non-invasive services in accordance with DHA regulations, clinic protocols, and internationally accepted safety standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent client communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to contribute to the clinic’s service quality, client retention, and revenue objectives. Key Responsibilities Laser and Aesthetic Treatments Perform professional laser hair removal treatments for female and male clients. Conduct client consultations, skin assessments, and hair-growth evaluations before treatment. Select appropriate laser parameters based on the client’s skin type, hair type, medical history, and treatment area. Perform laser and light-based aesthetic treatments within the scope permitted by the relevant professional licence. Provide skin rejuvenation, pigmentation, acne, vascular, and other aesthetic treatments, where qualified and authorised. Carry out pre-treatment preparation and post-treatment care. Monitor client response during and after each procedure. Maintain accurate treatment records, photographs, consent forms, and progress notes. Client Consultation and Care Explain treatment procedures, expected outcomes, contraindications, risks, and aftercare requirements. Conduct patch tests when required. Obtain informed consent before commencing any procedure. Develop personalised treatment plans and recommend appropriate treatment packages. Follow up with clients after procedures and address concerns professionally. Build long-term client relationships and ensure a premium client experience. Safety, Hygiene, and Compliance Follow all DHA regulations, infection-control standards, clinic policies, and laser safety protocols. Identify contraindications and refer clients to the doctor when medical clearance is required. Immediately report adverse reactions, burns, equipment concerns, or clinical incidents. Equipment and Inventory Management Conduct daily checks of laser and aesthetic equipment. Ensure machines are cleaned, calibrated, maintained, and used according to manufacturer guidelines. Coordinate equipment servicing and maintenance requirements with the clinic management team. Monitor stock levels of consumables, gels, disposable items, aftercare products, and protective equipment. Documentation and Reporting Maintain complete and accurate electronic and physical client records. Record machine settings, treatment areas, skin responses, and aftercare instructions for every session. Report client complaints, incidents, cancellations, and operational concerns to the Clinic Manager. Comply with all internal reporting and performance-review requirements. Qualifications and Licensing Diploma, certification, or recognised qualification in Laser Therapy, Beauty Therapy, Aesthetic Therapy, Nursing, or a related field. Valid DHA licence or eligibility as a Laser Therapist, Beauty Therapist, Assistant Nurse, Registered Nurse, or other approved professional category, as applicable. Certified training in laser hair removal and laser safety. Additional certifications in aesthetic devices, skin treatments, IPL, RF, HIFU, microneedling, or facial therapies will be an advantage. Current Basic Life Support certification is preferred. Experience Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in laser hair removal and aesthetic treatments. Previous experience in a dermatology, aesthetic, plastic surgery, wellness, or premium medical clinic is preferred. Practical experience working with different skin types, particularly Fitzpatrick skin types common in the UAE.
