<p>We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sewerage & Networks Engineer to join our team. The Sewerage & Networks Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design review, planning, construction supervision, and coordination of sewerage and wastewater network projects, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, safety protocols, and project timelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in sanitary sewer systems, utility networks, construction methodologies, and infrastructure development.
Responsibilities:
Support the planning, design review, and supervision of sewerage and wastewater network works, ensuring compliance with project requirements and approved specifications.
Review engineering drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, inspection requests, and as-built documentation.
Conduct site inspections and verify that sewerage network works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, quality requirements, and safety standards.
Coordinate with contractors, surveyors, consultants, and utility stakeholders to resolve technical and site-related issues.
Monitor construction progress and support testing activities such as leakage tests, deflection tests, and handover inspections.
Assist in reviewing hydraulic calculations, pipe levels, gradients, manhole locations, and utility interface requirements.
Prepare technical comments, inspection notes, progress updates, and recommendations for corrective actions.
Support project close-out by reviewing as-built drawings, inspection records, and handover documentation.</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Bachelor's degree in Water/Wastewater Engineering, or a related field.
Proven work experience of at least 10 years in sewerage networks, wastewater systems, utility infrastructure, or construction supervision.
Good knowledge of sanitary sewer systems, gravity and pressure networks, manholes, house connections, pumping stations, and force mains.
Proficiency in using CAD software, hydraulic modelling tools, GIS platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to support technical reviews and resolve site issues.
Excellent communication and coordination skills with contractors, consultants, clients, and project teams.
Construction and supervision of sewerage networks, preferably fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).</p>

<p>Our Main Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced QA QC Manager to join their team in Dubai to work on high profile high rise towers and new build villa masterplan developments in the Emirate. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a QA QC Manager on major new build civil construction projects in the UAE and have worked in the capacity of QA QC Manager for a recognised main contracting company previously.
This role is available for immediate joining and is hiring on a temporary to permanent basis as an initial 6 month contract position, outsourced through J10 Consulting, with the option to transfer to staff after 6 months to suit all parties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
• Manage all QA/QC documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Identify and resolve quality issues.
• Prepare and present QA/QC reports.
• Lead & Mentor QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors
• Review and monitor material specifications and quality standards, workflow, processes, etc. and recommend adjustments if needed in order to comply with the company policies, client and statutory requirements.
• Conduct and coordinate regular inspections, making sure also that work, products and documentations are prepared prior.
• Address quality issues on an immediate basis and coordinate with concerned personnel and discuss the measures to be taken to minimize quality risk.
• Preparing and reviewing all inspection reports for compliance
• Prepare and regularly (weekly) submit reports and maintain QC records.
• Prepare QA/QC Performance Reports weekly, monthly, and annually, non conformance trend Analysis, remedial actions, and submit to Employer.·

• Review QA/QC organization Conduct Quality or technical compliance audits for Contractor, Sub Contractor or Vendors·
• Review QA/QC Procedures and ensure implementation is in compliance with agreed requirements
• Review Inspection, Test, Plans and ensure compliance with agreed requirement etc.
• Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements when required</p><p>QA/QC Manager Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• 10+ years experience in Main Contracting Quality Assurance and Control - at least 2 in a recognised UAE Main Contractor
• Proven track record of managing teams of engineers and inspectors in QA QC processes
• Strong knowledge of construction quality control processes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Experience working with inspection agencies and regulatory bodies
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Certifications in quality control, such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Black Belt, are beneficial</p>
<ul><li><p>Provide a service to Lead Engineers to take on the site coordination services, liasing with Safety, Security and Area owners to ensure that the resultant installation satisfies the requirements in terms of Safety, Quality, costs and timeliness making him aware of any problem areas immediately they are encountered.</p></li><li><p>Direct, monitor and evaluate the work of engineering contractors to ensure that health, safety, environmental and quality standards are maintained in order to meet or exceed company policy requirements in these areas.</p></li><li><p>Liaise with the operations and maintenance personnel in the area of working, ensuring that permits to work and the like are available as required to meet the project requirements.</p></li><li><p>Act as Lead Engineer or Support Engineer on projects, collaborating with other members of the design team to produce project results to meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.</p></li><li><p>Apply accumulated experience to the training and coaching of junior engineers and especially National graduates, to preserve and enhance the department’s knowledge base to the benefit of future projects.</p></li><li><p>Provide technical expertise to operations and maintenance managers to ensure modifications to the plant are performed correctly and effectively.</p></li><li><p>Support the company continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that these are implemented in accordance with sound engineering practices.</p></li></ul><p><strong>AUTHORITY/ DECISION MAKING:</strong></p><ul><li><p>The job holder may from time to time act as a Lead Engineer, as directed by the HOD assigned projects of a low capital value and/or with a low level of complexity or risk.</p></li><li><p>Day-to day project management is normally assigned to the job-holder (as Lead Engineer) and he becomes responsible for the delivery of the project to meet the defined criteria.</p></li><li><p>The job-holder generally manages projects within an established budget and sequence of activities. He will normally be guided by more senior colleagues in the determination of priorities, solutions and methodologies.</p></li></ul><p><strong>DIMENSIONS</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>Financial:</strong> Responsible for the installation element of projects with annual capital expenditure to approx. USD 3 million.</p></li><li><p>As Lead Engineer, assuming total responsibility of projects with a capital expenditure value of up to approx. DHS. 500USD 1m each thousand.</p></li><li><p><strong>Staff:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Indirect; Contractors installation teams, up to 100 persons.</p></li><li><p>Direct; As Lead Engineer, up to 3 Support Engineers and Technicians in Project Team(s).</p></li></ul></li><li><p><strong>Other:</strong> Responsible for activities of on-site contracting companies in respect of safety, quality and security performance.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor Degree.</p></li><li><p>Technical qualification in civil discipline.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Experience:</strong></p><ul><li><p>5 years of site experience of safety management and construction processes.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Basic Engineering and design skills to be exercised to achieve expected results. The job-holder is expected to develop project management skills as he accumulates experience in the department.</p></li><li><p>Team leadership and participation, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to solve problems and think creatively.</p></li></ul>
