<p>Guildhall is recruiting for a Project Engineer to join a leading international engineering and construction contractor in the UAE. The successful candidate will support the successful execution of major high-rise commercial and mixed-use developments by coordinating engineering, construction, procurement, and site operations while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and Planning Engineer to implement construction programmes, resource plans, and material procurement schedules to achieve project milestones.
- Manage day-to-day site engineering activities, supervising subcontractors, site teams, and construction operations to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and schedules.
- Review construction drawings, shop drawings, technical submittals, and RFIs, resolving engineering issues with consultants and design teams to support uninterrupted project execution.
- Monitor project progress, manpower, equipment, and material requirements while preparing progress reports, resource forecasts, and recommending corrective actions where required.
- Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, QA/QC procedures, consultant inspections, and project close-out requirements, including as-built drawings and handover documentation.</p><p>- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience delivering high-rise commercial, civil, or industrial construction projects, preferably with a Tier 1 or international main contractor in the UAE or GCC.
- Certified Engineer (Unlimited Floors) is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of engineering design, construction methodologies, UAE building regulations, QA/QC standards, and health and safety requirements, with proficiency in construction scheduling and site management skills.
- Has a strong budget management and cost reporting skills.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English is required, with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills to effectively engage with clients, consultants, authorities, and multidisciplinary project teams.</p>
