<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <span>WE are looking for a highly experienced Senior MS SQL &amp; Oracle Database Engineer to manage and support critical database infrastructure within a banking environment.<br> The ideal candidate must have strong banking experience and extensive hands-on expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases , including on-premises clustering, replication, Disaster Recovery (DR), advanced troubleshooting, and SQL query performance tuning.<br> Key Responsibilities Administer and support MS SQL Server and Oracle databases in a critical banking environment.<br> Manage and maintain on-premises MS SQL and Oracle database clusters .<br> Configure and support database clustering, replication, and DR environments .<br> Support database replication between primary production environments and DR sites .<br> Troubleshoot complex database availability, performance, and connectivity issues.<br> Perform advanced troubleshooting and fine-tuning of MS SQL queries .<br> Analyze query execution and identify performance bottlenecks.<br> Ensure database environments maintain high availability and operational reliability.<br> Support database-related incidents and perform root-cause analysis.<br> Work closely with infrastructure, application, network, and other technical teams to resolve database issues.<br> Support database maintenance and operational activities in accordance with banking requirements.<br> Banking experience – Mandatory.<br> 10+ years of total IT experience.<br> Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Database and Oracle .<br> Strong hands-on experience with MS SQL clustering in on-premises environments.<br> Strong hands-on experience with Oracle clustering in on-premises environments.<br> Hands-on experience with MS SQL and Oracle replication .<br> Hands-on experience supporting DR sites and database replication/DR environments .<br> Advanced troubleshooting and MS SQL query performance tuning experience.<br></span> </div>
