Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer – Static Equipment to join an EPC project team for a major Offshore Gas Processing project. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all mechanical engineering activities related to static equipment throughout the FEED and Detail Engineering phases. The role requires strong technical expertise in static equipment design and engineering, combined with proven experience working within an EPC environment and coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, PMC, and equipment vendors. Key Responsibilities Lead the mechanical engineering activities related to static equipment for offshore gas processing facilities. Provide technical leadership and guidance to mechanical/static equipment engineers and designers. Develop, review and approve mechanical equipment specifications, datasheets and requisitions. Ensure equipment design and engineering comply with project specifications, applicable international codes and standards, and client requirements. Review and evaluate static equipment requirements during FEED and Detail Engineering. Coordinate with Process Engineering for equipment sizing, design parameters and process requirements. Review equipment data sheets, specifications, calculations and technical documentation. Prepare and/or review Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) and provide technical recommendations for equipment procurement. Review and comment on vendor drawings, calculations, material specifications, fabrication procedures and other vendor documentation. Coordinate with vendors and resolve technical queries related to static equipment. Review equipment layouts, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings and interface requirements. Ensure appropriate coordination with Piping, Process, Materials & Corrosion, Civil/Structural, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines. Participate in design reviews, HAZOP/HAZID and other project technical review meetings as required. Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication and inspection activities. Ensure engineering deliverables are completed in accordance with project schedules, quality requirements and approved procedures. Identify and resolve engineering issues, technical deviations and design conflicts. Interface with the Client, PMC and EPC project management team on technical matters. Support project engineering teams during equipment inspection, testing and other vendor-related activities. Ensure compliance with project HSE, quality and engineering requirements. Provide technical input to project planning, progress monitoring and engineering resource requirements.
