<strong>MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE</strong><br>To develop, coordinate and control aircraft Base maintenance events by ensuring optimal use of manpower, materials, and hangar resources to support efficient workflow execution, cost-effective operations, and industry-leading turnaround times (TAT). <br><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br><ul><li>Develops detailed project plans, work packages, and maintenance schedules for heavy checks, modifications, and any other maintenance tasks required.</li><li>Coordinates task sequencing and resource allocation to minimize downtime and meet Turn Around Time (TAT) targets, while monitoring productivity and adjust work plans to maintain optimum staffing levels.</li><li>Monitors task progress through status reviews and performance tracking and adjusts plans based on findings and evolving operational requirements.</li><li>Ensures alignment with regulatory requirements, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) instructions, and company standards including Safety management System (SMS).</li><li>Analyzes production costs and identify opportunities to reduce wastage, rework, and overtime while maintaining maintenance quality and efficiency.</li><li>Plans and distributes workload according to technician skillsets, certifications, and availability.</li><li>Identifies bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and process gaps across maintenance workflows.</li><li>Uses proven business methodologies to improve shop floor completion rates and reduce turn-around time.</li><li>Embraces and champions digital tools, dashboards, and planning software to enhance transparency and decision-making.</li><li>Acts as the central coordination point between engineering, production, supply chain, quality, and commercial teams.</li><li>Leads daily/weekly production meetings and report status, risks, and recovery plans. <p>Job Purpose</p><p>The Senior Electrical Commissioning Technician leads field execution teams in pre-commissioning, functional testing, cause & effect verification, and safe energization of MV/LV power distribution systems. Operating within a high-pressure EPC environment, this role oversees field isolation protocols, coordinates PTW activities, and ensures all electrical equipment and loops meet strict project safety and engineering specs.</p><p>Key Responsibilities & Core Scope</p><ul><li><p>MV/LV Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning:</p></li></ul><p>o Lead pre-commissioning and dynamic commissioning of Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) distribution systems.</p><p>o Conduct testing, inspection, and operational verification of Switchgear, Transformers, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems.</p><ul><li><p>Loop Checks, Cause & Effect, & Functional Testing:</p></li></ul><p>o Execute end-to-end electrical loop checks, interlock verifications, and complete functional testing from field devices to the control room.</p><p>o Perform Cause & Effect (C&E) logic testing for electrical trips, interlocking schemes, auto-transfer systems, and emergency shutdown integration.</p><ul><li><p>Energization Activities:</p></li></ul><p>o Prepare equipment, review safety boundaries, and directly execute high-risk MV/LV energization procedures in line with approved Commissioning Test Procedures (CTPs).</p><p>o Oversee primary/secondary injection testing, breaker timing, and phase rotation checks prior to live power handover.</p><ul><li><p>Permit-to-Work (PTW) & Field Execution:</p></li></ul><p>o Act as the Performing/Isolating Authority for electrical Permit-to-Work (PTW) applications, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and safe Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) isolations.</p><p>o Supervise field technicians and subcontractor teams to maintain safe execution on site.</p><p>o Validate test dossiers, clear punch list items, and record red-line markups on Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for final system completion.</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li><p>Education: Diploma, Higher National Diploma (HND), or Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering.</p></li><li><p>Experience:</p></li></ul><p>o 8+ years of hands-on electrical pre-commissioning and commissioning experience on major EPC projects (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, or Heavy Industrial plants).</p><p>o Demonstrated senior-level experience leading MV/LV switchgear energization, UPS systems testing, and complex Cause & Effect verifications.</p><p>o Proven track record working under strict Permit-to-Work (PTW) and safe electrical isolation systems.</p><ul><li><p>Certifications (Preferred):</p></li></ul><p>o CompEx (Ex01–Ex04) certification for hazardous area equipment.</p><p>o HV/MV Switching License or Authorized Senior Electrical Person certification.</p>
