We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Consultant / Specialist Emergency Medicine Physician to join our leading healthcare facility in the UAE.<br><br>The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in emergency medicine, acute care, emergency assessment, resuscitation, and management of critically ill and injured patients, with a strong commitment to rapid clinical decision-making and patient safety.<br><br>The successful candidate will work closely with intensivists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, cardiologists, neurologists, pediatricians, radiologists, nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary emergency care team.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Provide comprehensive medical assessment and management of patients presenting to the Emergency Department Perform rapid triage, clinical assessment, stabilization, diagnosis, and treatment of emergency cases Manage a broad range of medical, surgical, traumatic, and acute presentations Assess patients with chest pain, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, neurological symptoms, infections, allergic reactions, and other acute conditions Recognize and manage life-threatening conditions requiring immediate intervention Provide advanced resuscitation and emergency stabilization when required Manage patients with cardiac emergencies, respiratory distress, sepsis, shock, acute neurological conditions, and other critical presentations Assess and manage trauma patients including fractures, head injuries, soft-tissue injuries, and other acute trauma cases Perform appropriate emergency procedures within the physician's training, competence, and approved clinical scope Manage airway emergencies and provide appropriate respiratory support Interpret ECGs, laboratory investigations, blood gases, X-rays, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and other diagnostic studies relevant to emergency care Perform and interpret point-of-care ultrasound where appropriately trained Provide appropriate procedural sedation and acute pain management where clinically indicated Coordinate urgent consultations and referrals with appropriate medical and surgical specialties Determine appropriate patient disposition, including discharge, observation, admission, ICU transfer, or specialist referral Provide clear discharge instructions, follow-up recommendations, and patient education Participate in emergency response, code blue, rapid response, and resuscitation activities Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential emergency medical records Participate in multidisciplinary emergency department meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, and continuing professional development Maintain high standards of infection control, medication safety, and patient safety<br><br>Requirements<br><br>MBBS, MD, or equivalent recognized medical qualification.<br><br>Recognized postgraduate qualification in Emergency Medicine / Emergency Medical Care or an equivalent specialty.<br><br>Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.<br><br>Strong experience in emergency department and acute care settings.<br><br>Excellent skills in emergency assessment, stabilization, resuscitation, and clinical decision-making.<br><br>Ability to manage high-acuity and critically ill patients.<br><br>Good knowledge of trauma care, acute medical emergencies, and emergency procedures.<br><br>Experience with point-of-care ultrasound and emergency procedures will be an advantage.<br><br>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<br><br>Ability to work effectively under pressure within a multidisciplinary emergency team.<br><br>Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
A leading healthcare organization in Dubai, UAE is seeking an experienced Consultant Infectious Disease Physician to join its multidisciplinary medical team.<br><br>The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases and will play an important role in delivering evidence-based care across outpatient and inpatient settings.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Provide specialist and consultant-level assessment and management of patients with infectious diseases Diagnose and manage complex bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections Evaluate patients with acute, chronic, community-acquired, and healthcare-associated infections Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment, investigations, and current evidence Provide expertise in antimicrobial selection, optimization, and stewardship Manage complex infections including bloodstream infections, respiratory infections, urinary infections, bone and joint infections, and other systemic infections Assess patients with fever of unknown origin and complicated infectious syndromes Support the management of immunocompromised patients with infectious complications Provide consultation for infection-related cases referred from emergency, ICU, surgery, oncology, and other departments Interpret microbiology, laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic findings relevant to infectious disease management Work closely with microbiology and laboratory teams on diagnostic and antimicrobial strategies Participate in infection prevention and control initiatives Contribute to antimicrobial stewardship programs and appropriate antibiotic-use protocols Provide guidance on isolation precautions and infection-control measures when required Maintain accurate and confidential patient records Communicate diagnosis, treatment options, risks, and follow-up plans clearly to patients and families Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement, and patient-safety activities Maintain compliance with DHA regulations, clinical guidelines, and hospital policies<br><br>Requirements<br><br>MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical qualification from a recognized institution Recognized postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine and/or Infectious Diseases Relevant post-specialization experience at Consultant level DHA License or DHA Eligibility is preferred Candidates meeting DHA eligibility requirements may also be considered Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills Demonstrated experience managing complex infectious disease cases Good understanding of antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention principles Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team Strong command of English; Arabic language skills are an advantage
