<span><br>POSITION SUMMARY<br>Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Carry equipment (e.g., tools, radio). Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Perform all surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement and the complete and thorough cleanup of the painting or repair area. Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items. Program TV's and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work. Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping as well as external landscaping sprinklers. Display basic computer skills including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.<br>Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials. </span><p><span><span>The purpose of this position is to provide effective engineering and maintenance services covering the rolling stock and maintenance vehicle for Dubai Metro</span></span></p><br> <p><span><span><b>MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES</b></span></span></p><br>
<ul>
<li><span><span>Assist the Rolling Stock Team Leader in carrying out all level of preventive and corrective maintenance activities and minor modifications on rolling stock including passenger service vehicles, engineering support vehicles, shunting vehicles and wagons.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Carry out routine vehicle inspections, inspecting parts for surface defects, changing of consumable items, perform minor repairs and technical cleaning.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Perform roles necessary for the management of the safe system of works, including to meet<br> tight maintenance schedules.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Test functional performance of electromechanical assemblies using various test instruments, replace, install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, align, fit, and assemble component parts, using electronics tools, hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates, and microscopes.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Operate metalworking machines, repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems, verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications and to meet operational specifications and tolerances.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Perform time sensitive fault diagnostics and component replacement (repair in situ or inside depot) on the rolling stock.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Follow the appropriate maintenance procedures and instructions, operating rules and procedures to ensure compliance with the required requirements.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Carry out wheel truing of the rolling stock annually or as required using under-floor wheel lathe, perform bogie overhaul at every four and eight years by inspecting and repairing major bogie components such as traction motors, gear-boxes, wheel-sets, and axle boxes in special </span></span><span><span>purpose built workshops.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Assist the Rolling Stock Team Leader and/ or other technical support staff to implement</span></span> <span><span>complex systems or new projects.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>To be assigned and rotated to the First Line Response Technicians team when required.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Produce and maintain accurate maintenance records of rolling stock, tools and plant machinery performance, work accomplished and other information using a computerized maintenance management system.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Perform and carry out duties as instructed/ directed by the Rolling Stock Team Leader and other senior Rolling Stock Maintenance staff</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Implement and follow Permit To Work process.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Perform shift and emergency duties when required.</span></span></li>
</ul> <p><span><span><b>KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED</b></span></span></p><br>

<li><span><span><span>Working knowledge in maintaining and repairing car body, bogies and suspension, couplers and draft gears, operators' control, propulsion system, friction brakes, batteries, auxiliary power supply and electrical equipment, car doors and doors control, ventilation and air-conditioning components, train control and monitoring system for rolling stock is desirable.</span></span></span></li>

<li><span><span>Must have good eyesight and normal colour vision.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Strong mechanical mind, and ability to grasp the complexity of inner workings of rolling stock.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Ability to use and calibrate various electrical, electronic and mechanical test equipment and PC for the maintenance of rolling stock.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Ability to write simple technical reports, routine business correspondence, prepare method statements and drawings as required.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Possess good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Strong organisational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span>Preferably holds a valid UAE driving license with good driving skill and experience.</span></span></span></li>
