This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.<br><br>Danat Al Emarat is seeking an experienced and compassionate Consultant Pediatric Surgeon to join its multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents, managing both elective and emergency pediatric surgical conditions while ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence, patient safety, and family-centered care.<br><br>Responsibilities<br><br>Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of pediatric surgical conditions in neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. Perform elective and emergency pediatric surgical procedures within the scope of granted clinical privileges. Provide comprehensive pre-operative, operative, and post-operative care. Manage neonatal and pediatric surgical emergencies in collaboration with Neonatology, Pediatrics, PICU, and Emergency Medicine teams. Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and treatment planning. Deliver family-centered care by effectively communicating treatment plans and surgical outcomes to patients and their families. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory requirements. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and patient safety programs. Support teaching, mentoring, and training activities for junior physicians and healthcare professionals. Contribute to the continuous development of pediatric surgical services and evidence-based clinical practice.<br><br>Qualifications<br><br>Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent) from a recognized institution. Completion of an accredited residency program in General Surgery followed by subspecialty training in Pediatric Surgery.
