We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Avionics Engineer – A330 to join our Engineering team. The role will support both Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) activities and active Line/Base Maintenance operations, ensuring the technical integrity, reliability, and continued airworthiness of the Airbus A330 fleet’s avionics, electrical, and cabin electronic systems.<br>The successful candidate will provide high-level technical support for maintenance operations, including O, I and D Level maintenance where applicable, and will act as a technical focal point for complex avionics-related issues.<br>Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline. A330 type rating is mandatory<br>Minimum Experience<br>Minimum 8+ years of experience in an airline, MRO, Technical Services, CAMO, Base Maintenance or Line Maintenance Engineering environment. <ul><li><p>Manage and supervise HV electrical works, including <strong>power distribution systems, transformers, HV switchgear, power cables, and associated equipment</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Perform and coordinate <strong>testing and commissioning</strong> of HV transformers, power cables, switchgear, protection systems, and other HV equipment.</p></li><li><p>Ensure proper implementation of <strong>HV Permit-to-Work (PTW)</strong> procedures, isolation, switching, and electrical safety requirements.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate HV switching operations, equipment isolation, earthing, and restoration activities in accordance with approved procedures.</p></li><li><p>Review and ensure compliance with approved electrical drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans, and applicable standards.</p></li><li><p>Identify and troubleshoot HV electrical faults and provide appropriate technical solutions.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities during project execution, testing, and commissioning.</p></li><li><p>Ensure all HV works are carried out in accordance with <strong>UAE/GCC regulations, safety standards, and project requirements</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Maintain proper testing, commissioning, inspection, and HV operational records.</p></li><li><p>Support authority inspections, approvals, energization, and handover activities.</p><br></li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ol><li><p>Bachelor’s Degree in <strong>Electrical Engineering</strong> or a related field.</p></li><li><p>Minimum <strong>5 years of relevant experience</strong> in HV electrical projects, testing, commissioning, operation, or maintenance.</p></li><li><p>Strong practical experience with:</p><ul><li><p>HV transformers</p></li><li><p>HV switchgear</p></li><li><p>Power distribution systems</p></li><li><p>HV power cables</p></li><li><p>Protection and control systems</p></li><li><p>Testing and commissioning equipment</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Good knowledge and practical experience with <strong>HV Permit-to-Work (PTW)</strong> procedures.</p></li><li><p>Previous experience as an <strong>Authorized Receiving Authority (RA)</strong> or equivalent is highly preferred.</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of <strong>HV safety, isolation procedures, earthing, switching operations, protection systems, and electrical standards</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Candidates with current or previous approvals/authorizations from <strong>DEWA, TAQA, or equivalent UAE electrical authorities/utilities</strong> will be highly preferred.</p></li><li><p>Previous <strong>UAE or GCC HV project experience</strong> is preferred.</p></li><li><p>Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.</p></li><li><p>Experience in HV testing and commissioning of transformers, cables, switchgear, and protection systems.</p></li><li><p>Experience with HV energization and shutdown activities.</p></li><li><p>Experience working with UAE electrical authorities/utilities.</p></li><li><p>Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.</p></li></ol>
