Job Summary<br><br>We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Consultant Neurosurgeon to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and surgically managing disorders affecting the brain, spine, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and cerebrovascular system. The role requires expertise in performing complex neurosurgical procedures while delivering exceptional patient care in accordance with international clinical standards.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of neurological and neurosurgical conditions, including brain tumors, spinal disorders, traumatic brain injuries, cerebrovascular diseases, hydrocephalus, epilepsy, and peripheral nerve disorders. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including neurological examinations and evaluation of diagnostic imaging and laboratory investigations. Interpret MRI, CT scans, angiography, neurophysiological studies, and other diagnostic tests to establish accurate diagnoses. Perform complex neurosurgical procedures involving the brain, spine, skull base, peripheral nerves, and cerebrovascular system. Manage emergency neurosurgical cases, including traumatic brain injuries, intracranial hemorrhages, spinal cord injuries, and acute neurological emergencies. Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing both surgical and non-surgical management approaches. Provide pre-operative consultation, surgical planning, informed consent, and post-operative patient care. Collaborate closely with neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, intensivists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, rehabilitation specialists, and other multidisciplinary teams. Supervise patients in intensive care settings following major neurosurgical procedures. Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, surgical risks, recovery expectations, and preventive care. Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive medical records in compliance with DHA regulations and hospital policies. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, research, and continuing medical education activities. Mentor junior physicians, residents, and allied healthcare professionals where applicable. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, patient safety standards, and ethical medical practices.<br><br>Qualifications<br><br>Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution. Completion of a recognized Residency in Neurosurgery. Board Certification or equivalent in Neurosurgery. Fellowship training in a subspecialty such as Spine Surgery, Skull Base Surgery, Neuro-Oncology, Functional Neurosurgery, Pediatric Neurosurgery, or Cerebrovascular Surgery is an advantage. DHA Eligibility Letter, DHA License, or eligibility for Consultant licensure in Dubai.<br><br>Experience<br><br>Minimum of 8–10 years of post-specialization experience as a Consultant Neurosurgeon. Extensive experience performing complex cranial and spinal neurosurgical procedures.
