Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for QA/QC, HVAC and Plumbing Engineers based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The role involves monitoring and verifying the quality of HVAC and plumbing installations, materials, and workmanship in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and company procedures. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing inspection and test plans, conducting site inspections, documenting non-conformities, and coordinating corrective and preventive actions with project teams. The engineers will collaborate with design, project management, and construction teams to ensure compliance with codes, client requirements, and internal quality systems, while supporting continuous improvement of processes. The role also includes maintaining accurate QA/QC records, preparing reports for management and clients, and participating in internal and external audits as required. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Quality Control skills, including developing and implementing inspection procedures for Electrical , HVAC and plumbing works. Candidates should possess solid Quality Assurance skills, including establishing and maintaining QA processes aligned with company standards and ISO requirements. Candidates should possess Quality Auditing skills, including participating in internal and external audits and verifying adherence to quality management systems. The role involves reviewing project requirements from tender and BOQ stage through execution and handover, ensuring full technical compliance, constructability, coordination, and timely approvals from clients and consultants. The Senior Technical Architect acts as the primary technical interface between design consultants, clients, project management teams, subcontractors, factory production teams, and site execution teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects in accordance with approved designs, specifications, budgets, and timelines.<br>Job Responsibilities Lead technical coordination for interior fit-out projects involving architectural finishes, joinery, glass, metal, and MEP systems. Study project BOQs, specifications, tender documents, IFC drawings, and contract requirements to fully understand project scope and technical deliverables. Lead the preparation, review, and coordination of shop drawings, detailed technical drawings, coordinated ceiling layouts, builder’s work drawings, and as-built documentation. Manage and monitor SD logs, material submittal logs, RFI logs, sample approvals, and technical tracking schedules. Review design intent and ensure technical feasibility, constructability, and compliance with project requirements. Coordinate architectural, structural, interior, joinery, and MEP disciplines to eliminate clashes and ensure smooth project execution. Oversee detailed joinery design coordination including custom furniture, wall cladding, feature elements, counters, wardrobes, vanities, decorative ceilings, and specialized finishes. Coordinate glass and metal works including partitions, balustrades, decorative metal screens, cladding systems, fabricated architectural elements, and bespoke installations. Ensure proper integration of MEP services with ceilings, joinery, architectural finishes, and interior elements. Liaise directly with clients and consultants to discuss technical comments, design revisions, material approvals, and drawing reviews. Lead consultant and client coordination meetings to finalize approvals and close technical comments within project timelines. Ensure all technical submissions, shop drawings, and material approvals are properly reviewed and approved before production and installation. Coordinate with factory production teams and suppliers to ensure fabrication details align with approved drawings and site conditions. Conduct technical site inspections to verify quality, dimensions, installation standards, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications. Support project teams in resolving technical and site-related issues efficiently. Monitor technical progress and support project management teams in achieving project milestones and handover requirements. Participate in value engineering initiatives and provide alternative technical solutions while maintaining design intent and quality standards. Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, consultant standards, QA/QC requirements, and health & safety procedures. Mentor and guide junior technical staff, coordinators, and draftsmen where applicable. Prepare technical reports, progress updates, coordination records, and management presentations as required.<br>Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related technical field.7–12 years of experience in high-end interior fit-out and technical coordination within the UAE/GCC. Strong background in architectural detailing, joinery, glass, metal works, and MEP coordination. Proven experience handling luxury commercial, hospitality, retail, workplace, F&B, and residential fit-out projects. Strong knowledge of fit-out construction methodologies, fabrication processes, and site execution practices. Extensive experience dealing with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and authority approvals. Ability to independently manage technical coordination from design stage through project completion. Experience working with leading fit-out contractors or design & build companies in the UAE. Familiarity with factory production coordination and bespoke joinery manufacturing workflows. UAE driving license preferred. Ability to manage multiple fast-track projects simultaneously.<br>Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Auto CAD and technical drawing review. Strong understanding of shop drawing production, detailing standards, and technical documentation. Ability to review and interpret BOQs, specifications, contracts, and IFC drawings. Strong knowledge of MEP coordination and ceiling/service integration. Familiarity with authority regulations, QA/QC documentation, and fit-out approval procedures in Dubai/UAE. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems. Knowledge of Revit, Sketch Up, or BIM coordination is an advantage.
