Position Summary:CDhorizon is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Service Technician – Heavy Earthmoving Equipment to join our specialized service operations in the UAE. This role is exclusively focused on the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy earthmoving machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, etc. The successful candidate will perform both workshop-based and field service activities, ensuring maximum equipment uptime through preventive maintenance, rapid fault diagnosis, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. This position is critical to supporting CDhorizon's customers in the construction, mining, and infrastructure sectors across the UAE.<br>Key Responsibilities:1. Technical Service & Maintenance:• Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and major repairs on heavy earthmoving equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, articulated dump trucks, and track-type tractors.• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain faults using advanced diagnostic tools, schematics, and hands-on inspection.• Carry out preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing to ensure optimal equipment performance, minimize unplanned downtime, and extend component life.• Overhaul, service, and reassemble major components such as engines, transmissions, torque converters, final drives, hydraulic pumps, control valves, cylinders, and undercarriage systems.• Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required for equipment repairs and structural integrity restoration.<br>2. Field Service & Customer Support:• Provide prompt on-site field service support at customer project sites across the UAE, responding to breakdown calls and emergency repair requests to minimize project delays.• Deliver technical guidance to customers, clearly explaining fault findings, repair procedures, and recommended operating practices.• Maintain professional, transparent communication with customers regarding service updates, estimated completion times, and parts availability.<br>3. Inspection & Condition Monitoring:• Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and statutory inspections to ensure equipment meets safety and regulatory standards before deployment.• Perform thorough condition assessments and wear analysis on undercarriage, bucket, and structural components, recommending corrective actions.• Carry out oil sampling and analysis to detect early signs of component wear and prevent catastrophic failures.<br>4. Documentation & Reporting:• Accurately document all service activities, repairs, and maintenance tasks, including job cards, work orders, PDI sheets, and service reports.• Maintain comprehensive maintenance logs and equipment service histories to support warranty claims, compliance, and asset lifecycle tracking.• Report parts usage and recommend inventory replenishment to ensure workshop readiness.<br>5. Safety & Compliance:• Ensure all work is performed in strict compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and UAE regulatory safety standards, including relevant Dubai Municipality and ADNOC guidelines (as applicable).• Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe workshop practices.• Ensure equipment is returned to service in a safe, fully operational condition, with all safety systems functional.• Maintain tools, diagnostic equipment, and service vehicles in excellent working order.<br>6. Liaise closely with Sales, DMCs, PR and Marketing departments for groups and media shoots Executes any additional and reasonable duties that may be asked in order to successfully, and efficiently carry out Aquarium operations. <br><br>About You<br><br> Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Education, Biology, Zoology, Marine Science, Communication, or related field (desirable) Supervisory Experience of at least 2+ years Previous Experience in Education and Guest Experience in a zoo, aquarium or museum is required Previous experience in the development and implementation of educational programmes and materials Skills in conducting education evaluation for educational activities Proficient Skills in Microsoft Office / Outlook / Excel / Word / Power Point Strong interpersonal skills & organizational skills Strong administrative abilities accompanying a strong customer focus. Leadership abilities including but not limited to strong communication skills, follow-up & task management. Ability to work outdoors, as well as fast-paced conditions. Must be able to stand for long time periods and be able to be fit to walk around the property.
