We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Chemist to perform chemical analysis, monitor and control reactions within refinery reactors, and ensure the quality and consistency of refinery processes and products. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of chemical reactions, process parameters, sampling and analytical techniques, and safe handling of chemicals and refinery materials.<br>Key Responsibilities Monitor and control chemical reactions within refinery reactors in accordance with approved operating procedures, process parameters, quality management system requirements, work instructions, and QC standards. Conduct sampling and chemical analysis of reactor feed, reaction mixtures, intermediate products, and reactor output to ensure compliance with established specifications. Monitor critical reactor and process parameters, including temperature, pressure, p H, concentration, reaction time, and chemical composition, as applicable, to ensure stable and efficient operations. Verify and calculate the required quantities, concentrations, ratios, and dosing requirements of raw materials, chemicals, catalysts, and additives used in reactor operations. Assist in the charging, dosing, mixing, and transfer of chemicals and materials into reactors in accordance with approved procedures and safety requirements. Identify and communicate quality issues, discrepancies, abnormal conditions, or process deviations to the concerned personnel and promptly escalate significant issues to the QC Manager, Refinery Supervisor, or relevant authority. Maintain accurate records of chemical additions, reactor parameters, sampling activities, test results, and process operations for traceability and quality control.
