We are pleased to be assisting a well-known US law firm as they search for an experienced Legal Assistant to join their Abu Dhabi office. The firm is recognised globally for its work across the Middle East, with a multi-cultural, highly regarded team of lawyers operating up to Senior Partner level and liaising closely with offices across the region and worldwide.
The Role
This is a newly available position supporting the Managing Partner and the Corporate team, with a strong focus on complex billing. The firm is looking to move quickly on this hire to support the needs of the team, so early applications are encouraged.
Key Responsibilities
Matter management, from engagement letters and due diligence through to close;
Complex monthly timesheet and billing processes;
Attending to invoices and expense reimbursements;
Document preparation, editing, and management;
Liaising with clients and third parties to update matter information, arrange document transfer and signature, and field general enquiries;
Calendar, telephone and meeting management;
Arranging travel and preparation of travel documents;
Collaborating with the wider administration, operations and facilities team to ensure seamless admin support and to facilitate meetings and events;

Team members lacking in performance despite guidance to be reported to Management for action to avoid fall in the effectiveness of the company. Ensure team is working within scope and time constraints committed on the project. Manage the overall change control processes and quality assurance aspects of the project to ensure project success. Review the IFC package to ensure it includes all documents required for the project.<br>Educational & Professional Qualifications Bachelor’s /Master’s degree in civil Engineering15-20 years of experience in civil engineering, of which at least5+ years should be in a Resident Engineer. Proven record in handling multi-disciplinary projects (residential, commercial, or infrastructure). UAE / GCC experience is a strong advantage due to local authority codes and site practices. Chartered Engineer (CEng / MICE / PE / PMP / RICS) – adds credibility. Membership in recognized engineering bodies (IEI, ASCE, ICE, PMI, etc.). FIDIC Contract Training / Certification – often required for projects following FIDIC conditions. Safety Certification (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent) – for site safety compliance. Expert knowledge of design and construction codes (BS, ACI, ASTM, AS, etc.) Strong grasp of FIDIC contract administration and tender management Proficiency in Auto CAD, Revit, Primavera (P6), or MS Project Deep understanding of QA/QC, site supervision, and inspection procedures Knowledge of authority regulations (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DM, DDA, etc.)<br>Your performance will be monitored and gauged primarily by the following:<br>Quality of Leadership.
