We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Estimation Engineer – Civil to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for various civil and construction projects. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in tender preparation, cost analysis, bid submissions, and project feasibility assessments to support successful project acquisition and profitability. The candidate must possess strong analytical abilities, technical expertise in construction methods and materials, and the capability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines efficiently. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and project resources. Prepare techno-commercial proposals and submit them to clients and project stakeholders. Review and analyze project scope, tender documents, specifications, BOQs, and construction drawings. Coordinate closely with the Planning Engineer to develop high-level project timelines and schedules aligned with commercial proposals. Identify potential project risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering solutions during the tendering stage. Participate in tender clarification meetings and provide technical and commercial support. Monitor project costs and revise estimates as required throughout the project lifecycle. Provide cost advice and recommendations to project teams and management. Participate in project meetings to address cost-related matters and support decision-making processes. Maintain and regularly update databases for material costs, labor rates, subcontractor pricing, and market trends. Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate pricing and commercial terms. Interpret and analyze architectural, structural, IFC (Issued for Construction), and shop drawings. Collaborate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and Procurement teams. Share finalized BOQs with Quantity Surveyors for distribution and coordination with relevant departments. Upon project award, coordinate with all departments to initiate project documentation and execution processes. Conduct frequent site visits during the tendering stage to gather project data and verify site conditions. Ensure all estimates comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards. Maintain accuracy, completeness, and consistency of estimation documents and supporting records. Utilize estimation software and Microsoft Office tools for accurate reporting and cost analysis. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Proven experience in cost estimation and tendering for civil and infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, specifications, and industry standards. Meeting with other professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists, if required. Meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of student’s development using Target Tracker. Using data provided by assessments to influence further planning, provision and intervention. Be a positive role model and demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour, which are expected of pupils. Manage accurate data on applications, enrolments, and registrations to ensure accurate figures are available daily. Meet with enrolled parents, explain registration procedures, curriculum, fee structure, e SIS regulations and ensure all documentation is completed effectively. Respond to registration enquiries, telephone calls and emails in a timely and courteous manner. Oversee the assessments process with the academic team as required, to ensure the enrolment process is efficient. Oversee the waiting list (if applicable), maintain standard communication with the waitlisted parents in a timely manners and update on the application status accordingly. Work with the PRE to identify strategies for attracting new enrolments and student retention. Manage the reenrollment process for existing parents in conjunction with the PRE, providing regular analysis of the updates to the Head of Enrolments and Principal. Provide the Head of Enrolments with weekly and monthly reports and projections on enrolments Attend networking events to promote the school. Organise and attend enrolment events for the school. In this role, you will perform continuous surveillance of assigned inspection activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications, with particular focus on roadworks, storm water systems, and cycle track facilities.<br><br>What You’ll Be Doing<br><br>Ensure that all road, storm water, and cycle track construction works are performed in strict accordance with approved plans, specifications, ADM/DMT standards, and relevant active mobility guidelines. Supervise construction of cycle tracks and associated works (pavement layers, asphalt, kerbs, segregation elements, signage, road markings, drainage, and street furniture) to verify correct line, level, crossfall, width, and safety requirements. Report to the ARE or RE any failure of the Contractor to perform the work as per drawings, specifications, and good workmanship, including any non-conformance related to cycle track geometry, surface quality, and user safety. Maintain a detailed diary of the day’s work activities, including cycle track and road works, issues, work approved or rejected, hours of operation, labor and equipment used, etc., and sign at the end of each day as directed by the ARE.
