The role will primarily focus on the engineering, coordination, and verification of temporary works required to safely deliver civil and marine construction projects, while also providing occasional support to permanent works engineering activities.<br>The position plays a key role in protecting operational safety, supporting project delivery teams, and ensuring that engineering solutions are constructible, efficient, and compliant with relevant codes, contractual obligations, and authority requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, external consultants, and internal engineering staff to develop and manage engineering solutions aligned with the company’s engineering principles and procedures. <br></span><span>Key Responsibilities</span><span><br>Develop and check temporary works designs supporting construction methodologies.<br>Produce Design reports and drawings (supported by CAD resources) fro review internally and externally submitted to Clients Engineer<br>Represent DBB in the face of local authority as and when required<br>Provide engineering input during tender development and method statement preparation.<br>Coordinate temporary works design reviews, risk assessments, and constructability checks.<br>Manage temporary works registers, design documentation, and approvals.<br>Liaise with project delivery teams to resolve site engineering challenges.<br>Interface with external designers and consultants where specialist design is required.<br>Provide technical support for permanent works design coordination when required.<br>Ensure engineering outputs comply with applicable standards, project specifications, and authority requirements.<br>Participate in design reviews, BIM coordination, and technical workshops.<br>Support continuous improvement of engineering procedures and best practices within the department.</span><br>Specific Requirements/Conditions: (long hours, nights, shifts, travel/mobility)<br>Typically office hours with the requirement to work extended hours and weekends when work load demands.
