Our client, an EPC company is looking for an Operations Manager - EPC to be based in Abu Dhabi.<br>The Operations Manager will oversee the successful delivery of complex Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects across multiple industry sectors. The role is responsible for ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with client expectations, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. This position will play a key role in operational planning, resource management, stakeholder coordination, and continuous process improvement, supporting both project execution and long-term business objectives.<br>Responsibilities Lead the planning and execution of EPC projects, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Monitor project progress to ensure alignment with contractual obligations, timelines, and operational targets. Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to support seamless execution. Coordinate with internal teams to align operational activities with procurement, logistics, and financial planning. Manage and guide multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective collaboration and successful project delivery. Establish performance expectations, monitor progress, and support employee development initiatives. Promote a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and workplace safety. Serve as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Facilitate coordination meetings, project reviews, and regular progress reporting. Ensure clear communication, timely issue resolution, and strong client satisfaction. Ensure projects comply with approved specifications, international quality standards, and applicable UAE regulations. Oversee implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures across all project activities. Support the enhancement of operational procedures, tools, and best practices. Support business growth initiatives through client engagement and operational input on proposals and project feasibility. Contribute to the development of standardized operational procedures and project management frameworks. Drive initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and execution effectiveness. Support the preparation and management of operational budgets and cost-control measures. Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for operational and cost efficiencies.<br>Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management or related field;Master's degree preferred.15 + years of experience in operations or project management within an EPC environment. PMP, PMI-RMP or equivalent project management certifications (preferred). HSE and ISO quality certification experience is a plus. Proven leadership in delivering large-scale construction and infrastructure projects across sectors including Oil & Gas, Water, Power, Telecom etc. Experience in business development, proposal evaluation and client engagement within technical and commercial contexts.
