We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Safety Officer to join our client team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and promoting a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment across all project sites. The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety. The Safety Officer will focus on risk prevention, regulatory compliance, incident management, and continuous safety improvement.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br>Implement, monitor, and support Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies, procedures, and programs. Provide guidance and leadership to employees on health, safety, and environmental matters Plan, organize, and deliver OHS training and awareness programs for employees and management. Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations and company standards. Conduct risk assessments and recommend preventive and corrective measures to mitigate workplace hazards. Monitor work activities to ensure adherence to safety procedures and regulations Identify and stop unsafe acts, conditions, or processes that may pose a risk to personnel or property. Oversee safety aspects of construction activities, repairs, installations, and maintenance work Respond promptly to incidents, accidents, and emergencies, ensuring timely implementation of risk mitigation measures. Support incident investigations to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions Assist in managing workers’ compensation and injury-related claims Conduct site safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training sessions Prepare and submit safety reports, inspection records, and compliance documentation as required. Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, audits, and corrective actions<br>. Qualifications & Requirements Proven experience as a Safety Officer within the GCC region. Minimum 5 years of experience in health and safety within the construction industry Strong knowledge of UAE health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry best practices. Excellent understanding of hazardous materials, risk assessment techniques, and safe work practices. Experience in data analysis, incident reporting, and safety performance monitoring. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (G Suite) applications. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Demonstrated competence in safety management, people management, and project execution. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related discipline. Recognized certification in Occupational Health and Safety. NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) – Mandatory. Valid UAE Driving Licence.

<li>Develop, implement and improve HSE management systems, processes and procedures to support business operations in accordance with ISO 9001, 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22301 & OSHAD - SF</li>
<li>Communicate information on the HSE Management System throughout the organization and promote HSE awareness through various communication channels i.e. TBT, Safety Inductions, Training, Campaigns, discussions, emails etc. in consultation with all relevant departments</li>
<li>Prepare HSE documentation for clients / projects as per the requirements and in consultation with MDS SP Site / Operations team</li>
<li>Undertake HSE Inspections internally and with third parties (contractors) as per the approved inspection program of the company</li>
<li>Follow up on the preventive and/or corrective actions identified during the inspections and monitor the timely closing of the actions in coordination with other departments</li>
<li>Develop, facilitate and review HSE Risk assessments for routine and non-routine activities in consultation with the Site/ Operations team</li>
<li>Develop, implement and encourage the behavioral based safety culture in the organization through safe job observations and top management inspections</li>
<li>Meet all specific HSE responsibilities which are stated by the approved HSE SOP’s</li>
<li>Provide technical support to Senior Management on any safety related subjects</li>
<li>Prepare Health and Safety documentation for new tenders</li>
<li>Promote a positive health and safety culture within the organization</li>
<li>Ensure that safety policies and procedures are adopted and adhered to by the workforce and that the organization complies with the appropriate health and safety legislation</li>

Join us.</p><br><br>Job Description<br><p>• Under direct supervision, performs basic and routine duties in a wide range of environmental, health and safety disciplines to achieve compliance with the ES&H standards along with federal and state regulatory requirements. <br>
• Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of safety and health programs, systems and procedures. <br>
• Assists in monitoring hazards and diseases that could be present in the work area. <br>
• Works with others to investigate accidents, injuries and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace. <br>
• Participates in recommending improvement in processes, design, procedures and equipment to minimize hazards. <br>
