What Will Your Day Look Like?<br><br>As a Mechanical Technician you will be responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring manufacturing equipment operates safely and efficiently to minimize production downtime.<br><br>How Will You Make an Impact?<br><br>Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance for manufacturing machines. Join us.</p><br><br>Job Description<br><p><strong>Construction Supervision & Quality Control</strong></p><br><ul><li>Supervise and inspect electromechanical works on-site, including electrical, mechanical, control, and instrumentation systems.</li><li>Review and comment on shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, ITPs, and as-built drawings for all electromechanical components.</li><li>Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) for key equipment such as pumps, switchgear, control panels, SCADA systems, traffic signals, and ITS devices.</li><li>Ensure all works comply with relevant standards ( DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, NFPA, IEC, and other applicable codes).</li><li>Identify and report non-conformances, follow up on corrective actions, and ensure resolution prior to system handover.</li></ul><p><strong>Coordination & Interface Management</strong></p><br><ul><li>Liaise with , DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, Etisalat, DU, and other authorities for inspections, approvals, and NOCs.</li><li>Coordinate with the Contractor’s electromechanical team and other discipline engineers to resolve technical and interface issues.</li><li>Ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical systems with civil works and other project disciplines.</li></ul><p><strong>Testing, Commissioning & Handover</strong></p><br><ul><li>Oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, ensuring they meet approved procedures and performance requirements.</li><li>Review and verify O&M manuals, training materials, and spare parts lists submitted by the Contractor.</li><li>Assist in punch list preparation, system performance verification, and final handover of electromechanical systems.</li></ul><p><strong>Documentation & Reporting</strong></p><br><ul><li>Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, commissioning activities, and equipment deliveries.</li><li>Prepare daily and weekly reports on electromechanical works progress, key issues, and milestones achieved.</li><li>Support claims review and variation order assessments related to electromechanical works.</li></ul><p><strong>Technical & Problem-Solving</strong></p><br><ul><li>Provide technical support to site inspectors and junior engineers.</li><li>Proactively identify and resolve technical problems to avoid delays and cost overruns.</li><li>Support value engineering initiatives for electromechanical systems to optimize cost and efficiency.</li></ul><br>Qualifications<br><p>**Required Qualifications:**</p><br><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline</li><li>Minimum 10 years of professional experience in electromechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or senior engineering role on infrastructure projects</li><li>Proven experience on STP (Sewage Treatment Plant), sewerage line, and stormwater projects</li><li>Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, control, and instrumentation systems integration</li><li>Familiarity with relevant standards and codes including DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, NFPA, and IEC standards</li><li>Experience with factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) for industrial equipment</li><li>Proficiency in reviewing shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and as-built documentation</li><li>Demonstrated experience in commissioning and pre-commissioning activities for complex systems</li></ul><p>**Preferred Qualifications:**</p><br><ul><li>Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent licensure in Mechanical Engineering</li><li>Experience with SCADA systems, traffic signal systems, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)</li><li>Experience working with government authorities and obtaining NOCs (No Objection Certificates)</li><li>Proficiency in project management software, MS Office applications, and technical documentation standards</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders</li></ul><br>Additional Information<br><p><em>At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously. <strong>To support this commitment, all newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.</strong></em></p><br><p><strong>About AECOM</strong> </p><br><p>AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
