About the job MEP Draftsman
<p><strong>Job Title: MEP Draftsman</strong></p><br><p><strong>Salary AED 7000<br></strong></p><br>
<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><br>
<p>We are seeking an experienced MEP Draftsman to prepare and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting drawings for construction projects. The candidate will work closely with engineers and project teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of drawings.</p><br>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><br>
<ul><li>Prepare detailed MEP shop drawings and coordination drawings.</li><li>Develop Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting layouts as per project requirements.</li><li>Revise and update drawings based on site instructions and engineering comments.</li><li>Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to avoid design conflicts.</li><li>Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, standards, and local regulations.</li><li>Maintain proper documentation and records of all drawings and revisions.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications & Requirements:</strong></p><br>
<ul><li>Diploma or ITI in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience as an MEP Draftsman in construction projects.</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.</li><li>Knowledge of Revit MEP is an added advantage.</li><li>Good understanding of MEP systems, construction practices, and engineering drawings.</li><li>Ability to interpret technical specifications and coordinate with project teams.</li><li>Good communication and teamwork skills.</li></ul> <br>

<ul><li><p>Perform testing and commissioning of 11kV AIS/GIS switchgear.</p></li><li><p>Conduct functional and performance testing of power transformers.</p></li><li><p>Test and configure various protection relays (ABB, Siemens, Schneider, etc.).</p></li><li><p>Carry out backup protection relay coordination and testing.</p></li><li><p>Prepare detailed test reports and documentation.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with the engineering and site execution team to ensure project timelines are met.</p></li><li><p>Support site acceptance testing (SAT) and handover procedures.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li><p>Minimum 3 years of experience in Testing & Commissioning.</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience with:</p></li><li><p>11kV AIS & GIS switchgear</p></li><li><p>Power Transformers</p></li><li><p>Protection Relays (Primary/Secondary injection testing)</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of electrical protection schemes and relay settings.</p></li><li><p>Good understanding of electrical drawings and SLDs.</p></li><li><p>Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.</p></li><li><p>Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.</p></li><li><p>Willingness to work at various project sites across the UAE.</p></li></ul>
