<h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> <p>A leading contracting company in Dubai is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with 4-6 years of experience in technical office roles for projects in the construction sector.</p><p>This position requires expertise in preparing and reviewing shop drawings, as well as strong knowledge of local regulations and standards.</p><p><br></p> </div><h2 class="h5">Skills</h2> <div data-jb-field="skills"><p><b>Requirements:</b></p><ul><li><b>4 to 6 years of technical office experience in contracting companies within the UAE, preferably Dubai.</b></li><li><b>Previous experience in Dubai (preferred).</b></li><li><b>Experience in preparing and reviewing Shop Drawings.</b></li><li><b>As-Built Drawings.</b></li><li><b>Familiarity with Dubai municipal regulations.</b></li><li><b>Experience in preparing BOQ and quantity take-offs and pricing.</b></li><li><b>Ability to review drawings and coordinate with site and consultant.</b></li><li><b>Experience in evaluating and approving materials (Material Submittals).</b></li><li><b>Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office programs.</b></li><li><b>High organizational skills and attention to detail.</b></li><li><b>Experience working with DM and DDA systems and RTA licensing.</b></li><li><b>Proven experience working as a technical office engineer in a contracting company.</b></li><li><b>Strong experience in quantity surveying and procurement.</b></li><li><b>Proficiency in using AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.</b></li><li><b>Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.</b></li><li><b>Excellent communication and negotiation skills with suppliers.</b></li></ul><p><b>Previous experience in Dubai is preferred, especially in villa and building projects.</b></p></div>
