The successful candidate must be able to conduct site surveys, understand existing conditions & convert design concepts into accurate, coordinated & buildable drawings for authority submission, construction, fabrication & final handover. <ul><li>Design and develop fin and tube heat exchangers, coils, condensers, evaporators, cooling coils, heating coils, and related components.</li><li>Prepare technical drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.</li><li>Select appropriate tube materials, fin materials, fin spacing, tube diameter, circuiting, headers, and connection details.</li><li>Use heat exchanger design software and engineering calculation tools.</li><li>Support product development, customization, and value engineering projects.</li><li>Coordinate with production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.</li><li>Review customer specifications and prepare technical proposals.</li><li>Assist in troubleshooting design, production, and performance-related issues.</li><li>Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and customer requirements.</li><li>Work with quality teams to resolve non-conformities and improve product reliability.</li><li>Support testing and validation of heat exchanger prototypes and final products.</li><li>Maintain design records, calculation sheets, drawings, and revision history.</li><li>Collaborate with purchasing teams for material and component selection.</li><li>Continuously improve existing product designs for better efficiency, durability, and cost reduction.</li></ul>Desired Candidate Profile<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or Diploma in Thermal Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Experience in heat exchanger design, preferably in fin and tube heat exchangers.</li><li>Strong understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and HVAC/R systems.</li><li>Knowledge of coil design, refrigerant circuits, air-side and fluid-side pressure drop calculations.</li><li>Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or similar.</li><li>Ability to read and prepare engineering drawings and technical documents.</li><li>Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as tube bending, fin punching, expansion, brazing, soldering, welding, and assembly.</li><li>Familiarity with materials such as copper, aluminium, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and coated fins.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li></ul>
