About This Role<br><br>As an Area Business Manager, Rare Diseases, you will play a critical role in driving patient identification, market development, and commercial success across the UAE and selected Gulf markets for Biogen’s Rare Disease portfolio.<br><br>This is not a traditional sales role. As the territory expert, you will own and drive your business independently, developing and executing territory, account, and customer engagement strategies while helping remove barriers to diagnosis, treatment access, and patient care. You will work across multiple functions and stakeholder groups, combining elements of account management, patient finding, market development, access support, and commercial execution.<br><br>You will build strong partnerships with physicians, multidisciplinary care teams, pharmacists, treatment centers, diagnosis centers, and other stakeholders involved in the rare disease patient journey. Internally, you will collaborate closely with Medical, Value & Access, Marketing, and Commercial colleagues to ensure aligned execution and maximize opportunities for patients living with rare diseases.<br><br>This role offers significant autonomy, visibility, and regional exposure, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their capabilities beyond a traditional field-based commercial role while developing expertise within one of Biogen’s strategic growth areas.<br><br>What You'll Do<br><br>Territory & Account Management<br><br>Develop and execute territory and account plans to drive patient identification, market development, and commercial performance. Build deep understanding of key accounts, referral networks, treatment pathways, stakeholder priorities, and decision-making processes. Establish and maintain strong relationships with neurologists, treatment centers, diagnosis centers, KMEs, and other key stakeholders involved in rare disease care. Drive awareness, patient identification, retention, and support initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional partners.<br><br>Commercial Execution & Business Planning<br><br>Deliver against territory sales objectives, market share goals, and business priorities while effectively managing resources and activities. Develop annual territory business plans with clear account priorities, opportunities, risks, and action plans. Identify and assess patient access opportunities and barriers across the patient journey. Provide field insights and customer feedback to support commercial strategy and integrated customer engagement planning.<br><br>Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration<br><br>Mobilize internal and external resources to address customer needs and improve patient outcomes. Collaborate closely with Medical, Market Access, Marketing, and other customer-facing teams to drive alignment and execution. Support peer-to-peer education programs, speaker initiatives, referral network development, and rare disease awareness activities. POSITION OBJECTIVE<br><br> Ensuring the highest levels of customer service are provided by retail staff and ensure they have the skills and support required for maximizing sales Assisting the Store Manager in efficient and profitable operation of the store, in accordance with the Company policies and procedures End to end store responsibility in absence of Store Manager Promote the Loyalty Program of the company for maximizing loyalty and repeat sales Provide feedback to the Store Manager and Area Manager with regards to employees and products<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br> Must be fashionable, well-groomed and possess updated product knowledge to ensure minimal stock loss Maintains knowledge of new product, trend and fashion directives at all times in order to effectively respond to and anticipate customer needs Ensuring the retail staff has the skill to provide highest levels of customer service for maximizing the sales Assisting the Store Manager in implementation of operating procedures at the store as per the company standards Ensure the brand and company’s policies and procedures are adhered by all the staff at all the times Regularly audits own store administration and resolve any issues Manage the daily roaster, leave and grievances of the retail staff Maintain the visual merchandising standards at the stores all the time as per set VM standards Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program of the company for repeat sales Provide feedback to the Store Manager and/or Area Manager with regards to the employees and products Ensure awareness and vigilance at all times of security in the store without any negligence Must be updated about the various brands of the group for suggestive selling to the customers End to end store responsibility in absence of Store Manager Must be physically fit to stand for extended hours and heavy lifting
