Job Purpose<br><br>To support the daily operation of recreational facilities under the NYU Project by ensuring activity areas, sports spaces, and recreation equipment are safe, clean, organized, and ready for use.<br>The role is responsible for assisting users, supporting bookings and activities, monitoring facility readiness, reporting issues, and delivering a positive customer experience in line with client requirements, safety standards, and company procedures.<br><br>Roles, Responsibilities, Duties<br>Recreation Facility Operations Support the daily operation of recreation areas, sports courts, fitness spaces, activity rooms, and other assigned facilities. Ensure all recreational facilities are clean, safe, well-organized, and ready for scheduled activities and general use. Assist with opening and closing procedures, facility setup, readiness checks, and basic operational inspections. Monitor facility usage and ensure users follow site rules, safety guidelines, booking procedures, and operating standards.<br>Customer Service and User Support Welcome and assist students, staff, residents, visitors, and facility users in a professional and service-oriented manner. Respond to general inquiries related to bookings, activity schedules, facility access, rules, and equipment usage. Provide guidance on the safe and proper use of recreational facilities and equipment. Handle basic user concerns professionally and escalate complaints, incidents, or service issues to the supervisor when required.<br>Activity and Event Assistance Assist in preparing and supporting recreational activities, wellness programs, sports sessions, tournaments, and community events. Set up activity spaces, equipment, signage, attendance sheets, and required materials before events. Support participant registration, crowd coordination, activity flow, and post-event arrangements. Coordinate with supervisors, operations teams, and support departments to ensure event requirements are delivered smoothly.<br>Equipment and Inventory Control Issue, collect, inspect, clean, and store recreational equipment in line with approved procedures. Monitor equipment condition and report damaged, missing, unsafe, or low-stock items. Maintain equipment logs, usage records, inventory trackers, and related documentation where required. Ensure equipment is stored safely and recreational areas remain neat, accessible, and ready for use.<br>Safety, Compliance, and Reporting Conduct basic checks of recreation areas to identify hazards, maintenance issues, cleanliness concerns, or unsafe conditions. Report incidents, accidents, near misses, damaged equipment, and facility defects in accordance with site procedures. Support emergency response by following approved escalation and safety protocols. Maintain accurate records for bookings, attendance, inspections, incidents, and equipment usage.<br>Coordination and Service Improvement Coordinate with cleaning, maintenance, security, HSE, helpdesk, and operations teams to ensure smooth recreation service delivery. Follow up on reported issues to support timely resolution and facility readiness. Contribute to improving user experience, facility presentation, safety, and service efficiency. Maintain a positive, professional, and helpful approach in all interactions with users and stakeholders.<br>Occupational and workplace Health and Safety responsibilities: In addition to all job specific responsibilities, all employees are required to adhere to all Khidmah health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, practices, and relevant legal and statutory health, safety and environmental requirements and obligations.
