Gym Nation

1 active job (view) www.gymnation.com

Published

August 11, 2026

Location

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Category

Marketing & Advertising

Job Type

Permanent: Full-time

Description

50+ gyms. 250,000+ members and expanding quickly!

Gym Nation, the Middle East's fastest-growing fitness brand, is seeking a world-class Head of Member Retention & Loyalty to own churn, tenure and member lifetime value end-to-end. One of the first roles of its kind in the global fitness industry.

We've become brilliant at getting people through the door. Now we're going to be the best in the world at keeping them. Every operator talks about churn - almost none have a senior leader who owns it. From a member's first workout to the moment they'd never dream of cancelling, the relationship is yours to design.

You won't start from a blank page. A best-in-industry technology stack and established tech, data and CRM teams are here to put your ideas into action. You'll unite behavioural science, technology and creativity into one retention system. We leverage AI and automation across the business and expect you to advance us here. In retention, AI is the difference between reacting to cancellations and predicting them.

We're growing fast, and so will your impact: exceptional visibility, direct influence on strategy, and the chance to build the retention playbook the rest of the industry will want to copy and can't.

Responsibilities

Retention Strategy & Ownership

Own the retention strategy and be accountable for member churn, average length of stay and lifetime value across the business. Specify and sign off a single agreed view of retention performance - cohort curves, survival analysis, and voluntary versus involuntary churn. Diagnose why and when members leave, by segment, tenure, price point, joining channel, gym and market. Prioritise the levers by value at stake, and kill the ones that don't move the number. Own the multi-year roadmap that takes retention from a reporting line to a structural competitive advantage.

Behavioural Science, Onboarding & Habit Formation

Redesign onboarding and the critical first 90 days around the behaviours that actually predict long-term membership. Identify and instrument our early-visit "magic number" - the visit frequency that separates a member who stays from one who lapses. Apply named behavioural science (habit loops, commitment devices, loss aversion, goal gradient, social proof, nudge theory) to real member journeys, not theory. Own the nudge architecture behind every journey - the timing, framing, defaults, choice sets and friction that decide whether a member acts, not just the message sent. Design the in-gym moments that matter: first workout, first class, first body scan, first personal goal, first friend made. Set the brief for Operations and in-gym teams so front desk and floor staff are an active part of the retention system.

Gamification

Design and work with the tech team to ship gamification inside the Gym Nation app - streaks, badges, milestones, challenges, leaderboards and rewards. Build mechanics that drive genuine visit frequency and belonging, not vanity metrics, and retire what doesn't earn its place. Integrate body-composition and performance data so progress itself becomes the reward.

Loyalty Programmes

Build and own the Gym Nation loyalty programme - tenure rewards, status tiers, partner perks and member benefits. Own the referral programme so loyalty compounds, and the win-back programme so lapsed members return. Create structural reasons to stay that competitors cannot copy, and that strengthen rather than discount the proposition. Own the reward economics so the programme demonstrably pays for itself in retained revenue.

Ancillary & Add-On Retention

Own churn and tenure across the full product ladder, not just core membership - body-composition scanning, Recovery Rooms, hydration and in-gym retail, and premium or signature products. Track add-on churn separately from core churn. A member who drops one product but stays is a different problem to one who leaves altogether. Identify which add-ons are genuine retention anchors and which are simply incremental revenue, then own the attach-and-retain playbook: what is sold at join, what is sold later, and what actually extends core tenure. Design upgrade, downgrade and pause paths so that a cancellation becomes a downgrade rather than a loss.

AI & the Member App

Direct the roadmap for churn-risk scoring, personalised journeys and next-best-action in the app. Own and evolve the AI save-flow - matching the right save lever to every reason a member gives for leaving. Use AI to personalise content, goals, class recommendations and nudges at individual member level. Work with Technology and Data to move from rules-based triggers to predictive, continuously learning models. Set the standard for how AI is used responsibly with member data in every country we operate in.

Lifecycle Communications

With the Head of CRM and wider marketing team, orchestrate every channel into one coherent member journey - email, push, SMS, Whats App, in-app, in-gym screens, TV and radio, and front-desk conversations. Launch and continuously improve lifecycle campaigns for onboarding, at-risk, lapsed, win-back and high-value members. Eliminate fragmented messaging that erodes trust, and govern contact frequency across the business.

Measurement, Experimentation & Reporting

Run a continuous programme of experiments and A/B tests - designed properly, read honestly, and scaled only when they work. Quantify the revenue impact of every retention initiative and report it to leadership in commercial terms. Build the dashboards and scorecards that give leadership and gym managers real-time visibility. Benchmark against global operators and set the target that makes us best in class.

Team & Cross-Functional Leadership

Build and lead the retention and loyalty function from the ground up. Work across Technology, Data, CRM, Marketing, Operations and Finance to make retention a company-wide priority, not a departmental initiative. Translate complex behavioural and analytical findings into executive-ready recommendations for the leadership team, board and investors.

Requirements

Experience

5+ years in retention, loyalty, lifecycle marketing, CRM or customer experience, with at least 3 years leading or building a function. Track record of owning retention or loyalty in a consumer subscription business, with demonstrable impact on churn and lifetime value. You might come from anywhere - subscription tech, gaming, telco, fintech, streaming, e-commerce, hospitality or fitness. What matters is the instinct for behaviour, data and habit. Experience designing and launching a loyalty programme, gamification system or major lifecycle journey end-to-end, not just optimising one. Product-minded, with experience shipping features or journeys inside a mobile app alongside product and engineering teams. Multi-product or add-on subscription experience is a strong advantage - tiering, attach and cross-sell, downgrade paths and product-ladder economics - as is multi-market or multi-language experience.

Technical Requirements

Data-literate and hands-on - cohort analysis, survival curves, LTV modelling, churn drivers and segmentation. Strong understanding of A/B testing, experiment design, statistical significance and the traps in both. Familiarity with subscription billing platforms, recurring-payment lifecycles, dunning and involuntary churn. Comfortable using AI tools (LLMs, agents, Claude Code) to accelerate workflows and multiply your output.

Mindset

Behavioural science fluent - can name the science and apply it to a real member journey. Commercially minded - sees retention as revenue, not a soft metric, and can defend every investment in those terms. Builder mentality - energised by a blank page, a world-first mandate and the chance to define the role rather than inherit it. Exceptional communicator - can align Tech, Data, Marketing and Operations behind one retention goal. Strategic thinker who can zoom out to set direction and zoom in to write the push notification copy when it matters. Intellectually honest - reads experiment results as they are, not as they were hoped to be. AI-forward - sees AI tools as core to how a modern retention function operates.

Additional Information

What Success Looks Like: The metrics you'll move

Monthly and annual churn - the headline number you own. Member lifetime value and average length of stay. Visit frequency, and the percentage of members hitting the sticky threshold. Cancellation save-rate - members retained at the point of leaving. Add-on attach rate, add-on churn and ancillary revenue per member. App engagement, including DAU/MAU, streaks and challenge participation. Referral and win-back rates.

How to Apply

If this sounds like the perfect role for you, or someone you know, please apply and our HR team will be in touch asap with shortlisted candidates.

We look forward to hearing from you!

APPLY HERE: https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/4450305141/

Prevail Fund’s Education Fund ($1.2B target to improve learning outcomes for 27.5 million children) is early evidence that that focused, long-term capital behind a proven intervention can improve societal norms. By the end of the decade, we're building toward five to seven major funds across education, livelihoods, health, and beyond.

We're looking for a Head of Finance to build the function to make that scale possible. If you're excited by building financial structures and teams capable of deploying capital at that scale, we’d love to hear from you.

Note: This is a fully remote position. We’re able to hire between -6 UTC (US Central Time) and +3 UTC (East Africa Time). Candidates should be legally eligible to work in their country - we are only able to sponsor visas in exceptional circumstances.

About Prevail Fund

Prevail is a new foundation dedicated to catalyzing large-scale social change by supporting private philanthropists and field implementers to pursue more ambitious and impactful goals. We work with private philanthropists to fund specific initiatives for 10-12 years. Rather than diversifying across multiple causes, we prioritize deep, strategic investments in proven solutions with the potential to reshape global norms. For example, our first fund aims to improve foundational education for over 27.5 million children across 11 national governments in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.

Prevail provides patient capital to implementers – primarily in the form of grants that grow over time as our partner organizations scale. In addition to funding, Prevail also offers a suite of systems and talent development services designed to address common growth barriers and prepare partner organizations for accelerated scale.

To achieve our goals, we're assembling a team of results-oriented individuals with strong implementation experience and a passion for delivering impact at scale through strategic philanthropy.

In Our First Three Years, We've

Provided $50M+ in funding to date, to support 25+ partners across Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, growing very quickly Helped partners to strengthen foundational learning outcomes for over 3 million children Hired 35+ mission-driven team members Executed dozens of in-field projects to help support key functions for our implementing partners

You can find a bit more information about Prevail Fund and what to expect from our recruitment process here.

About The Role

We have successfully launched a $1.2bn education fund, and we will launch two further funds this year. In the next few years, we will be directly running multiple large funds across different sectors, and indirectly supporting other funds as well.

We’re looking for a Head of Finance to work directly with David Hylden (Co Founding Partner) to build a finance function to make that scale possible. With the right people, systems and technology, you will help to shape how billions of dollars are structured, allocated and ultimately translated into impact.

What You’ll Do

Build Prevail’s capital infrastructure: Design and operationalize the financial, legal, and giving structures that enable Prevail to receive, steward, and deploy philanthropic capital with trust, compliance, and speed across funds, entities, donors, and geographies. This includes owning Prevail's legal infrastructure - entity structuring, jurisdictional compliance, and external legal resourcing - without necessarily having a legal background yourself Lead financial strategy and capital allocation: Help Prevail make ambitious but responsible decisions about how much capital it needs, how much it can responsibly commit, when it can deploy funds. This involves leading Prevail’s budgeting, reserve planning, scenario planning and capital allocation analysis that will lead to clear recommendations for leadership and the Board. The Head of Finance will translate those decisions into practical financial plans and operating guidance Build a technology-enabled finance function: Build and lead a lean, technology-enabled finance function that enables Prevail to grow rapidly and deploy more capital for impact. You will identify the gaps, hire the right people, and develop them into a high-performing team. You will also prioritise and leverage tech/AI solutions that make the function faster, more efficient and scalable, rather than always defaulting to growing with additional headcount. Lead partner financial diligence and shape cost-effectiveness approach: Surface financial risks and potential grantee issues early through clear, practical diligence. In collaboration with Partner Support and program teams, help Prevail and its partners understand current program costs, cost structures at scale, unit economics, financial health, and capacity to absorb additional funding.

About you: You’ll thrive in fast-paced environments and bring:

Work experience. You have 10+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a CFO, Head of Finance, or other senior finance role. You're interested in big-bet philanthropy and global development. Experience in the development space is an asset but not required. Excellent financial modeling and analytical judgment. You are highly comfortable building and interrogating financial models, budgets, scenarios, and investment cases. You can identify the real decision at stake, and help leaders understand tradeoffs. Strong finance fundamentals. You bring strong judgment across budgeting, accounting, controls, audit, compliance, treasury, restricted funding, and financial reporting. You do not need to have done everything yourself, but you know what good vs. great looks like and can build the right team, systems, and external support around the work. Experience with complex financial structures. You are excited by the challenge of designing practical financial infrastructure for a growing organization. Experience with multi-entity, multi-country, restricted funding, grants, investments, donor-advised funds, fiscal sponsorships, or cross-border funding structures would be a strong plus. Clear track record of using tech/tools to build efficiencies: You are genuinely excited about what AI and modern finance tools can do, and you have a consistent track-record of leveraging technology and developing lean and effective processes. You default to systems and automation over headcount, and you have the technical fluency to evaluate tools yourself rather than just delegate the question. Strong people manager: You have a clear track record of building and supporting high performing teams. Clear communicator and humility. You can explain complex financial issues clearly to leadership, program teams, donors, partners, and the Board, and bring humor, patience, and a service-oriented approach to the work.

What We Offer

Full time, permanent contract. Fully remote position with opportunity to travel 2-4 times per year. Competitive salary based on experience, skills and location. We share salary bands with candidates before the first call; final offers are based on interview performance. Meaningful benefits. Health insurance and wellness benefits, home workspace or co-working stipend, plus a learning and development budget. Growth opportunities. We deeply care about investing in our team’s professional development. You’ll receive strong manager support, targeted feedback, performance support, clear pay progression, upwards or lateral mobility. Flexible leave policy. Including 25 days PTO, plus public holidays.

Location & start date: This is a fully remote position. We’re able to hire between -6 UTC (US Central Time) and +3 UTC (East Africa Time). Candidates should be legally eligible to work in their country - we are only able to sponsor visas in exceptional circumstances. Periodic travel expected for donor meetings, board meetings, and partner site visits. Preferred start date: as soon as possible.

Application process: Our hiring process is thorough, because there are very specific skills required for this role. Successful candidates will go through:

A 45-minute initial conversation with our people team Hiring Manager interview (60 minutes) Paid take-home exercise (5 hours) Panel interview (90 minutes) and 1:1 conversations with the rest of the team An in-person chat (coffee!) with a Prevail team member.

Through the process, we’ll share feedback on the assessments and invite candidates to incorporate it. This mirrors how we work day to day: collaboratively, with openness to feedback and iteration.

Ready to join us? If you’re excited to help us scale, apply using the link below. We review every application and aim to invite successful candidates for an informational call within 3 weeks.

For more information, check out the job FAQ. Job Description

We are looking for a Principal Security Engineer with deep crypto domain expertise to lead security across our regulated digital-asset business. As we build out spot trading, custody, staking and on-chain services for our client base, security is the foundation the whole business stands on. This role owns it.

You will be the security owner for our crypto platform's custody and on-chain layer end to end: architecture, engineering, operations and regulatory assurance for the parts of the stack that are unique to digital assets. Senior Business Developer - Global Industrialization, Middle East & Africa – Dubai, UAE We empower our people to stay resilient and relevant in a constantly evolving world. We’re looking for people who are always searching for creative ways to grow and learn. People who want to make a real impact, now and in the future. Does that sound like you? Then it seems like you’d make an outstanding addition to our vibrant international team. Siemens Digital Industries is a leading innovator in automation and digitalization. Our mission is to support customers in maximizing growth, profit opportunities and ecological footprint in the discrete and process industries. Ready to create your own journey? In this role you will connect priority Chinese industrial customers investing in Middle East & Africa and relevant Chinese EPC/OEM participation in their industrial projects – with the Siemens network, converting locally detected project and ecosystem signals into scalable DI growth across their Global Industrial Journeys. About the role Chinese industrial champions are increasingly expanding beyond traditional export: building factories, localizing supply chains, acquiring companies and creating industrial ecosystems across the world. DI S GED - Global Export Development - is being established to help Siemens Digital Industries follow these Global Industrial Journeys, detect and qualify meaningful signals, connect the right Siemens capabilities around them, and turn cross-border complexity into coordinated and scalable growth. Based in Dubai, you will be the GED geographic orchestration node for Middle East & Africa. You will follow priority Chinese industrial customers and their relevant industrial/project ecosystems across MEA, detect destination-market signals that materially affect those journeys, and connect the appropriate Siemens Countries, Verticals, Technology Units/Domains and GED network. The role is not a China desk and does not promote Chinese EPCs/OEMs into unrelated local projects. The role does not replace Country/account commercial ownership. GED creates journey visibility and orchestrates growth; the established commercial organization owns and closes the business. The successful candidate will combine business-development instinct, industrial/customer understanding, ecosystem connectivity and the ability to orchestrate across organizational boundaries without formal authority. CRITICAL BOUNDARY: A Journey Signal may be detected anywhere, but in FY27 it must relate to the Global Industrial Journey of a priority Chinese industrial champion/customer or a relevant China-connected industrial ecosystem. GED does not use locally detected signals as a mandate to pursue unrelated local opportunities or to favor Chinese ecosystem players over other partners. How you will make an impact with us Detect and qualify MEA journey and project signals Identify industrial investments, project developments, localization moves, EPC participation and ecosystem changes related to priority Chinese industrial customers in Middle East & Africa. Detect destination-market signals that may emerge first in MEA - such as investment timing, project structures, end-customer decisions or relevant EPC/OEM involvement - and connect them into the end-to-end customer journey. Translate early or ambiguous project/ecosystem intelligence into qualified DI opportunity hypotheses. Orchestrate customer and ecosystem activation. Mobilize the relevant MEA Country/account teams, China GJOs/GED nodes, Verticals and TUs/Domains around priority customer journeys. Create transparency on customer intent, project structures, decision networks, relevant ecosystem relationships and next-best actions. Preserve Siemens neutrality among ecosystem players and respect existing customer, project and opportunity ownership. Enable wins, replication and the GED system Support commercial teams in converting qualified journey signals into pipeline, lighthouse pursuits and measurable DI impact. Capture successful customer/project patterns and replicate them across Countries and relevant industrial journeys. Contribute actively to GED data, qualification, orchestration, learning and digital capabilities. Your defining qualities Experience & skills Strong experience in industrial business development, sales, EPC/project development, key-account development or strategy in complex B2B environments. Good understanding of Middle East industrial/project ecosystems; wider Africa exposure is an advantage. Experience with EPCs, infrastructure, energy/resources, industrial manufacturing or large investment projects is highly valuable. China-related business, Chinese industrial-customer/EPC experience or cross-border industrial investment exposure is a strong advantage. Demonstrated ability to navigate multi-party ecosystems and orchestrate across Countries, functions and organizational levels without formal authority. Strong commercial judgment and ability to convert strategic signals into concrete pursuit actions and measurable impact. Ways of working - the GED DNA Curious: actively searches for weak signals, customer intent and the connections others may not yet see. Entrepreneurial: creates structure and momentum in ambiguity rather than waiting for a mature process. Connected: builds trusted relationships across customers, ecosystems, Countries and the wider Siemens network. Collaborative: enables existing commercial and functional organizations to win; works without territorial behavior. Orchestrating: mobilizes stakeholders across boundaries without relying on formal authority. Scaling: turns individual wins and lessons into reusable patterns, playbooks and next-site / next-country opportunities. High proficiency in written and spoken English. Arabic and/or Mandarin Chinese are strong advantages. A three-dimensional mandate Journey Hat - own or contribute to selected priority Global Industrial Journeys. GJO assignment is based on where a journey can best be understood and orchestrated, not on fixed geography. Geography Hat - detect and qualify relevant journey signals in Middle East & Africa and activate the Siemens ecosystem around those journeys. Capability Hat - steward or contribute to one shared GED foundational capability such as journey intelligence/data, qualification, orchestration methodology, patterning/replication, knowledge/capability development or digital enablement. What success looks like Priority Chinese customer journeys in MEA are visible earlier, including relevant signals first detected in destination markets. Relevant Chinese and local/global Siemens networks are connected faster around qualified customer opportunities. Commercial teams gain actionable pipeline and lighthouse pursuits rather than unstructured intelligence. Successful customer/project patterns are learned and replicated across Countries. GED is experienced as an orchestrator that accelerates existing organizations while remaining neutral among ecosystem players. About DI S GED DI S GED - Global Export Development - is a new global team designed to create and scale Siemens DI growth from customers' Global Industrial Journeys. China2World is the initial FY27 strategic growth motion. The mechanism follows the journey wherever relevant signals are detected, while preserving a clear boundary: locally detected signals must relate to priority Chinese industrial champions/customers or relevant China-connected industrial ecosystems. GED creates journey visibility and orchestrates growth; Country/account organizations retain customer and commercial ownership and close the business. Working logic: Journey Signal → Qualify → Orchestrate → Activate → Win → Learn → Replicate Ambition: One Customer • One Journey • One Siemens. You’ll benefit from 2 to 3 days of mobile working per week as a global standard. Diverse and inclusive culture. An environment where everyone can bring their whole self and feel a sense of belonging. the foundation to develop personally and professionally. Extraordinary variety of learning & development opportunities Transform the everyday with us We value your outstanding identity and perspective and are fully committed to providing equitable opportunities and building a workplace that reflects the diversity of society. Come bring your authentic self and create a better tomorrow with us. We celebrate the fact that our people are individuals and have different preferences and needs. If we all thought the same, we would never think of anything new! That’s why we recruit extraordinary minds from all walks of life. We are committed to furthering our culture of diversity, equity and inclusion. We encourage applications from a diverse talent pool and are happy to give the opportunity to discuss flexibility and reasonable adjustment requirements. Many of our teams are working optimally in a remote, virtual adding to our ability to offer more flexibility on how you handle your time. Please note: Only complete applications can be considered in the selection process.
