Scout sits at the intersection of search, AI, and the core property marketplace. You'll work across the stack on experiences that help millions of property seekers turn natural-language intent into relevant homes, recommendations, and actions. This is a hands-on full-stack role. You'll own meaningful product and technical problems end to end — from the user experience and APIs through data retrieval, search, LLM integrations, observability, and production operations. You'll be joining a team working on problems where product quality depends not only on correctness, but also on latency, relevance, reliability, and cost at scale.

What You'll Do

Build and ship end-to-end features for PF Scout across TypeScript/Node.js backend services and React-based frontend experiences.

Own features from design through production: implementation, testing, deployment, observability, and iteration based on real user behaviour.

Work on search and data-intensive problems involving retrieval, ranking, aggregation, caching, and large property datasets.

Build and evolve AI-powered product experiences involving LLMs, tool calling, streaming, conversational state, and fallbacks.

Work closely with product managers, designers, data teams, and other engineers to turn ambiguous customer problems into simple, reliable solutions.

What We're Looking For

Required technical skills:

4+ years of software engineering experience, with meaningful experience building production, consumer-facing applications.

Strong proficiency in TypeScript, particularly Node.js backend development using frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, or similar.

Experience building modern frontend applications using React, Next.js, or a comparable React-based stack.

Hands-on experience with at least one search, analytics, or data-intensive system such as OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar, including debugging and improving query performance.

Experience owning software in production — understanding how your services behave, diagnosing issues, and improving reliability and performance.

Good understanding of software engineering fundamentals including testing, maintainability, code quality, and pragmatic system design.

Nice To Have

Experience building LLM-backed applications, including tool/function calling, streaming, structured outputs, multi-turn state, context management, or caching.

Experience with model platforms or providers such as AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI/Gemini, OpenAI, or similar.

Production experience with AWS and cloud-native applications, including technologies such as ECS/EKS, Lambda, SQS/SNS, CloudFront, RDS, or ElastiCache.

Experience working on marketplaces, search products, recommendation systems, or other high-scale consumer applications.

How You Work

You take ownership beyond your ticket — you notice problems, propose solutions, and follow through.

You communicate technical trade-offs clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders, and back your arguments with data.

You hold a high bar in code review and design review, and you make the engineers around you better.

You're pragmatic: you know when to build for scale and when to ship the simple thing, and you can quantify the cost of both.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first couple of months, you'll independently own and ship a meaningful Scout capability end to end — from the customer experience through backend orchestration and search or AI integration — and use production data to improve it after launch.

Our promise to talent

At Property Finder, we believe talent thrives in an environment where you can be your best self. About The Role -

We are looking for a Product Owner to own the product roadmap and backlog for the UniqPay platform: acquiring, payouts, currency conversion, and risk. You decide what gets built, in what order, and why. You are the voice of the merchant, the acquirer, and the regulator inside our engineering process, and the single owner of scope and acceptance for every sprint.

As Product Owner you sit between Engineering, Compliance, Operations, and Sales. You turn merchant demand, partner constraints, and regulatory obligations into a single prioritised roadmap, write the specifications that engineers build from, and carry what you learn at launch back into the next release. Because our merchants are in regulated industries operating across many countries, prior hands-on product experience in these verticals across international markets is mandatory, not preferred.

What You Will Do -

Own the roadmap: Maintain the product roadmap for acquiring, payouts, FX, and risk, balancing merchant demand, commercial priority, technical debt, and regulatory obligation.

Run the backlog: Write clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria that cover payment edge cases: declines, retries, cascading, chargebacks, partial settlements, and FX.

Ship every sprint: Lead sprint planning, refinement, and review; act as the single decision maker on scope and acceptance; track delivery and make trade offs early.

Design for the regulator: Turn licensing conditions, KYC and KYB rules, AML monitoring, data residency, and scheme requirements into product requirements for each jurisdiction, and re-scope the backlog when the rules change.

Know the verticals: Run structured discovery with regulated merchants and with acquiring and banking partners, and build market by market knowledge of local payment methods and settlement rails.

Own the integrations: Lead the product side of PSP, acquirer, and merchant integrations: API specifications, timelines, and channel configuration.

Measure what matters: Define and track approval rates, latency, settlement accuracy, onboarding time to live, and merchant retention, and use them to steer prioritisation.

Close the loop: Run launch readiness and post launch and post incident reviews, and convert every lesson into a backlog item or a process change.

Who You Are -

Experience: 4 to 6 years in product ownership or product management, including at least 2 years shipping payments or fintech products for iGaming, Crypto, or FX merchants across international markets. This is a hard requirement.

Vertical knowledge: You understand how these merchants make money and lose it: cascading and approval rates, on and off ramp flows and settlement and margin dynamics in specific regulated industries.

Regulatory fluency: Direct experience applying licensing, KYC and KYB, AML, data residency, and card scheme rules in product design across more than one jurisdiction.

Delivery discipline: Hands on ownership of an agile backlog: writing stories, running ceremonies, and being accountable for sprint outcomes.

Technical depth: Comfortable working with engineers on API driven products and third party integrations, and able to read a sequence diagram or an API log without help.

Judgement: You say no clearly and often, and can explain a prioritisation call to a founder, a compliance officer, and an engineer in the same meeting.

Education: A bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field preferred. CSPO, PSPO, or equivalent is a plus.

Bonus points if -

You have sat across the table from a regulator, an auditor, or a card scheme during a licence application, audit, or review.

You have launched a product into a new country or corridor and dealt with the local payment methods and rules that came with it.

You have built the product function at an early stage company where the process did not exist yet.

Where this role goes -

The Product Owner seat is the proving ground for the Product Manager role. Show that you can run the roadmap, keep the platform compliant across markets, and think a level up, and the path to leading the wider product function is direct.

What Is Next -

We aim to reply to every application within three business days, and our interview process usually takes around three to four weeks. It is a short, practical process: a real conversation, an exercise that looks like the actual job rather than a brain teaser, and time with the people you would work beside, founders included. Tell us if you need more flexibility at any stage.

Our Take On Who Belongs Here -

Our team has a vision that spans several nationalities, time zones, and payment traditions, and we think that is exactly why we will make good calls in cross border payments. Whoever you are and wherever you are from, you are welcome to be yourself here.
