<p>The Design Assistant provides architectural design, 3D modelling, visualization, documentation, and project coordination support across American Hospital Dubai and assigned Group projects. The role assists in translating design concepts into accurate drawings, 3D models, presentations, material selections, and technical documentation while supporting the coordination of design activities with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project teams. </p><br><p>The position contributes to the delivery of functional, aesthetically appropriate, safe, and high-quality healthcare and corporate environments in accordance with approved design standards, project requirements, and organizational objectives.</p><br><br>Responsibilities:<br><p>Design Development</p><br><ul> <li>Supports the Group Director of Interior Design and Architecture in developing architectural and interior design concepts, space layouts, mood boards, material palettes, design presentations, and visual proposals for new developments, renovations, and refurbishment projects.</li> <li>Produces accurate 2D drawings, 3D models, rendered perspectives, walkthroughs, and presentation materials to communicate design intent to management, project teams, consultants, and other stakeholders.</li> <li>Updates architectural models and drawings based on design reviews, site conditions, stakeholder feedback, and approved changes while maintaining consistency with the approved design concept.</li></ul><p>Design Coordination and Technical Support</p><br><ul> <li>Assists in reviewing architectural, interior, furniture, finishes, and related consultant drawings for general alignment with approved design requirements and identifies discrepancies for review by the Group Director of Interior Design and Architecture .</li> <li>Supports coordination with Projects, Facilities Management, Biomedical Engineering, IT, Infection Prevention, clinical departments, consultants, contractors, and suppliers where design requirements interface with operational or technical needs.</li> <li>Assists with preparation of room layouts, furniture plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, finish schedules, design details, and other documentation required to support project implementation.</li></ul><p>Project and Site Support</p><br><ul> <li>Maintains design schedules, drawing registers, material submissions, sample records, design trackers, action logs, and other project documentation to support timely completion of assigned design activities.</li> <li>Participates in site visits, measurements, inspections, mock-up reviews, snagging activities, and progress meetings; <p>The RNA Modifications, Intellect, and NeuroDegeneration (RNA-MIND) Laboratory at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit an Associate Research Scientist to join our laboratory to study the molecular and cellular mechanisms in neuronal cells that can be potentially targeted to prevent, alleviate, and promote recovery from ischemic stroke.</p><br><br>
<p>The successful candidate will work with human cell lines, primary cultured neurons, and rodent models to investigate the cellular operational mechanisms of RNA modification in regulating gene expression in the context of neuroinflammation. Training background in biophysics and experience with liquid-liquid phase separation, RNA-protein interaction, RNA modification, and cell biology is highly desirable. We look for highly motivated individuals with strong commitment to neuroscience and biomedical research. </p><br><br>
<p>Techniques such as live-cell fluorescence imaging, flow cytometry, Ribo-seq, neural dynamics imaging are strongly valued. Strong grounding in molecular biology techniques such as molecular cloning and RNA analysis are expected. The Center for Brain and Health (CBH) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to recruit a Junior Research Scientist to support innovative clinical and translational research on brain health and disease in diverse populations within the UAE and wider MENA region.<br><br>The successful applicant will play a central role in the day-to-day execution of human-subjects research studies, working within a multidisciplinary team of faculty investigators, research assistants, clinicians, and students. The position involves coordinating clinical and observational research protocols that integrate advanced neuroimaging, neuromonitoring, and behavioural methods, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance, participant safety, and high-quality data collection.<br><br>Key responsibilities include coordinating participant recruitment and workflow (pre-screening, informed consent, scheduling, and follow-up), maintaining regulatory and ethics documentation, liaising with clinical partners and imaging facilities, and overseeing clinical aspects of MRI, EEG, and MEG sessions. The Junior Research Scientist / Clinical Coordinator will also contribute to the development of standard operating procedures, support training of research assistants and students, track study progress and recruitment metrics, and assist with grant applications, ethics submissions, and progress reporting.
