The physician qualifying for this position will be held responsible for applying medical knowledge and skills to implement anesthetic care plans for CCAD patients within the purview of the Integrated Hospital Care Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD).<br>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:<br>Preoperative Evaluation:Evaluate patients’ medical histories, physical examinations, and surgical risks to determine anesthetic risk stratification, formulate appropriate anesthetic plans and adequately counsel patients about benefits and alternate plans before they sign informed consents.<br>Develop Anesthesia Care Plans:The anesthesiologist will be expected to develop anesthesia care plans tailored to patients’ individual needs and the complexity of the surgical/non-surgical procedures involved Care plans should include strategies to manage potential risks and complications. The anesthesiologist is expected to be proficient in the use of a variety of anesthesia modalities (such as TCI and regional anesthetic techniques), as well as the use of the wide range of invasive and non-invasive monitoring techniques.<br>Responding to Emergencies:The anesthesiologist must be prepared to respond to an array of emergencies in the clinical care areas where anesthetics are provided.
