We operate an autonomous delivery fleet in Abu Dhabi. This role owns the frontline team that keeps the fleet running — several hundred people, growing fast. The work spans remote monitoring of vehicles in service and on-road support in the field, run as one cross-trained team on a single roster.
You own the machine that grows and runs it: the sourcing pipeline and manpower suppliers, the training and certification line, the roster, the quality bar, and the supervisors who run shifts once you can no longer be in every room. The operation is live seven days a week and the safety and quality floor does not move.
What You'll Own The ramp — sourcing pipeline, manpower suppliers, hiring bar, onboarding throughput and attrition, plus the training and certification line that pushes that volume through without diluting the standard. Operator productivity, attendance and working-hour utilisation — and what has to change for those numbers to move. The management layer — the supervisors you recruit and promote, and the layered QA that tells you how a shift went when you weren't on it. Workforce operations at scale — visas, accommodation, transport, rostering compliance, and the allocation of field resources across competing demands.
What You'll Need A frontline of several hundred, run full cycle — recruitment, training, rostering, performance, attrition. Not a contract population you coordinated with, but people you were accountable for and managed through supervisors. A ramp you personally delivered — took a team to several times its size, or mobilised a new site, centre or contract from nothing, with the numbers and the timeline to show it. Seated, real-time operations — control rooms, contact and service centres, command and dispatch centres, or autonomous-vehicle operations: people at consoles working live tasks against a response-time and quality standard. Dispersed field labour is a different job. A training and QA standard you built yourself — designed the assessment, set the pass bar, and made it hold across shifts. Running someone else's system is a different job. Strong English as a working language — you hire, train, appraise and resolve conflict directly with an Indian, Pakistani, Filipino and Ugandan frontline. A valid driving licence. Based in Abu Dhabi or ready to relocate.
Strongly Preferred AV safety operator teams UAE blue-collar workforce operations — MOHRE, visas, accommodation, manpower suppliers24/7 multi-shift operations Hindi, Urdu or Arabic
What We Offer A UAE-benchmarked package, AI tools, visa sponsorship, and a non-rotating day shift.
The Reality of the Job You would build the largest frontline team in Middle East autonomous delivery — several hundred people and growing fast, with the ramp, the standard and operator productivity all sitting with this one person. To be straight about the rest: the hiring and training pressure is relentless, and rostering and efficiency tooling is still incomplete — parts of the job run manually before they run on a system.
