<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><ul><li><p>Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on flexible packaging machinery.</p></li><li><p>Dismantle, inspect, repair, refurbish, and refit mechanical equipment and machine components.</p></li><li><p>Install, align, level, and commission new production machines and equipment.</p></li><li><p>Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical failures in extrusion, printing, lamination, slitting, rewinding, pouch-making, and bag-making machines.</p></li><li><p>Carry out maintenance and repairs on <strong>extrusion lines</strong>, including extruders, dies, chill rolls, gearboxes, screw & barrel assemblies, and associated equipment.</p></li><li><p>Perform <strong>plumbing works</strong>, including installation and maintenance of water, cooling, compressed air, pneumatic, hydraulic, and utility piping systems.</p></li><li><p>Repair and replace bearings, shafts, couplings, seals, pumps, valves, motors, conveyors, rollers, and gearboxes.</p></li><li><p>Read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&ID diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.</p></li><li><p>Perform machine alignment, calibration, lubrication, and precision fitting.</p></li><li><p>Weld, fabricate, cut, and modify machine parts when required.</p></li><li><p>Conduct root cause analysis of recurring mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and maximize machine efficiency.</p></li><li><p>Maintain maintenance records, spare parts inventory, and daily work reports.</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with safety standards, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and company policies.</p></li><li><p>Support machine relocation, installation, dismantling, and commissioning projects.</p></li><li><p>Maintain good housekeeping standards within the workshop and production areas.</p></li></ul><br></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"><br></p><ul><li><p>Minimum <strong>3–5 years of experience</strong> as a Mechanical Technician in the <strong>Flexible Packaging Industry</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Strong experience in <strong>machine dismantling, reassembly, installation, and alignment</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Hands-on knowledge of <strong>extrusion machines</strong>, flexible packaging production equipment, and utility systems.</p></li><li><p>Experience in <strong>plumbing</strong>, pneumatic, hydraulic, compressed air, chilled water, and cooling systems.</p></li><li><p>Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.</p></li><li><p>Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance.</p></li><li><p>Ability to use precision measuring instruments and mechanical tools.</p></li><li><p>Basic welding and fabrication skills are an advantage.</p></li><li><p>Ability to read engineering drawings and maintenance manuals.</p></li><li><p>Good communication and teamwork skills.</p></li><li><p>Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns.</p></li></ul><p></p></section>

May include, but not limited to: Walk-ins, steamers, convection ovens, dishwashers, booster heaters, warmers, exhaust hoods, serving lines, ice machines, bearings, motors, heat exchanges, boilers, air conditioner compressors, exhaust systems and chillers.</li><li>Performs major and/or minor repair, as well preventative and corrective maintenance of</li><li>Commercial kitchen appliances, commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment.</li><li>Track work orders and responsible for coordination and prioritizing repair tasks to respond in a timely manner and provide timely repairs and reduced downtime. Repair and maintain all low voltage, equipment voltage and control voltages. </li><li>Inspect, repair, modify and install refrigeration equipment not limited to compressors, chillers, receivers, condensers, pumps, automatic and hand valves</li><li> Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating and ventilating units, including boilers, gas and electrically operated air-conditioning equipment, and make necessary adjustments or repairs, service and repair evaporative coolers.</li><li>Repair or replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls, including thermostats, automatic switches, fan controls, log switches, damper motors, louvers, relays, filters, controls, belt, compressors, heat exchangers, high limit controls, pressure controls, safety valves and automatic gas valves.</li><li>Repair and maintain semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors, centrifugal compressors for refrigeration machines.</li><li>Perform skilled electrical maintenance repair, installation and alteration of HVAC equipment, components, timers, motors and wiring systems as needed, connect motors to control panels.</li><li>Lubricate and pack heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air-conditioning motors, pumps, fans and other equipment.</li><li>Install and calibrate systems, install and repair copper tubing pipes as necessary, leak test joints and insulate pipes of refrigeration and air conditioning systems, flush boilers, descale tubes, maintain pressure and temperature safety valves and water pumps.</li><li>Install, rebuild, replace or repair fans, motors, thermostats, fuses, filters, bearings, valves, controls, gaskets and other equipment as necessary.</li><li>Maintain related records concerning time, labor and materials, maintain log of tasks performed and write reports as required.</li><li>Ensure pool chemical level is in accordance with legislative requirements and ensure pools are maintained with backwash and super chlorination.</li><li><span><span>Ensure plant rooms are checked and cleaned and are in operating order.</span></span></li></ul><p><strong>What we need from you:</strong></p><br><ul><li>Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience with the similar position in a four star Hotels or similar organization.</li><li>Interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Having trade license / HACCP training certificate / or any other technical certificate would be encouraged.</li></ul><p><strong>What you can expect from us:</strong></p><br><p>We give our people everything they need to succeed, from a competitive salary that rewards all your hard work to a wide range of benefits designed to help you live your best work life – including impressive room discounts and some of the best training in the business.</p><br><p>Our mission is to welcome everyone and create inclusive teams where we celebrate differences and encourage colleagues to bring their whole selves to work.
