How you can make your mark<br><br>You can make your mark as Senior Contract Manager by providing contractual support during the preparation and execution of projects of Boskalis and you will be responsible for contract administration. Extensive knowledge of standard international construction and maritime contracts (e.g. FIDIC, LOGIC, NEC, IMCA, BIMCO). <p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p><p><br></p><p> -Issue and negotiate settlement and recover receivable contract demurrage claims always within time bar deadlines.</p><p> -Defend and negotiates contract demurrage claims payable.</p><p> -Damage cargoes claim and other shipping claims, including P&I claims when applicable</p><p> -Direct Demurrage Analyst, to receive, defend and settle charter party demurrage and other claims.</p><p> -Co-operate closely with all other departments, especially contracts department, where advice on terms relating to lay time and demurrage is required. Good advice is essential to reduce the company’s exposure at source in contract terms.</p><p> -Handle voyage planning, which includes giving arrival notices both at load and discharge ports.</p><p> -Request Bills of Lading instructions, check stowage plans for accuracy and feasibility</p><p> -Working with cargo operations will also involve calculating fees eg port disbursements and settlements, as well as freight cost estimations for customers.</p><p> -Review monthly demurrage reports and coordinates closely with sites to identify and recommend changes to process and or operations which would assist in reducing financial exposure and make efficiencies.</p><p> -Maintain accurately Excel database of all payable and receivable claims. This is the 'master’ document and accuracy is essential as this data is used to support trading P&L.</p><p> -Ensure fast recovery of demurrage settlements from counterparts</p><p> -Ability to analyse data with a high level attention to detail and accuracy </p><p> -Communicate with shipping group to proactively avoid potential demurrage issues.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Minimum Qualification</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Economics, Engineering or Law. Knowledge of Maritime law is essential and critical for this role. Legal educational background is preferred but not essential. Technical knowledge of vessels’ operation is an added value.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills</strong></p><ul><li>6+ years work experience in shipping/chartering function in the energy industry</li><li>5 years deep knowledge of the oil ports in the region</li><li>Prior experience at a leadership level with good contacts within the key markets</li><li>Industry knowledge - specific experience with/understanding of key drivers, economics, and management practices of integrated shipping industry</li><li>Commodities Trading knowledge - keeps up to date with international events and geo-political climate</li><li>Financial knowledge - financial planning and strategy, managing profitability, quality management, promoting process improvement, forecasting and developing budgets</li></ul><p><br></p>
