<span></span><p>Black & Grey HR is seeking a Port Engineer to join our client's marine operations team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This is a permanent office-based role with regular vessel visits, drydock attendance, and port travel as required, providing technical management and oversight of the company's owned and long-term chartered vessel fleet.<br></p><br><p>You will be responsible for ensuring vessels are maintained in full compliance with class, flag state, statutory, and client requirements while overseeing planned maintenance, drydock execution, technical procurement, and vendor management. <p>The Civil Cost Control Engineer is responsible for monitoring, analysing and controlling the costs associated with civil construction activities throughout the project lifecycle. The role will establish and maintain project cost baselines, monitor actual expenditure against approved budgets, analyse cost variances, prepare cost forecasts and provide accurate financial information to support project decision-making. The role therefore combines engineering expertise, project management, commercial responsibility, and client acquisition.<br>The Role The Pile Engineer will evaluate potential piling projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, soil investigation data, and foundation requirements. The engineer will conduct or coordinate the required technical analyses, calculations, pile design assessments, method statements, and project planning. Guide Civil Supervisors located at all locations in Abu Dhabi and Ruwais City on technical matters.<br>• Assist for the preparation of annual preventive maintenance programs for all civil and building maintenance works with monthly breakdown, approves monthly programs submitted by subordinates, analyses updated monthly programs to determine extent of work planned and takes appropriate action to accomplish planned tasks.<br>• Advise and support in the preparation of technical specifications to enable the development of contracts and tenders. Provide assistance and evaluate the provisions of maintenance contracts from the viewpoint of quality, standards and performance of work and submit recommendations to with justifications.
