About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Operations & Sales Coordinator with a strong background in road trucking and container transportation. This role is ideal for candidates who have worked with transport/trucking companies managing heavy truck operations, container movements, port logistics, and domestic road freight, while also supporting sales by maximizing fleet utilization.
Please note: This is NOT a general logistics role. We are specifically seeking candidates with experience in road trucking operations and container transportation.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate daily road trucking operations and ensure smooth transportation of containers across the UAE.
• Plan and optimize truck schedules to maximize fleet utilization.
• Coordinate with drivers, carriers, subcontractors, workshops, and port operators.
• Monitor container movements between ports, warehouses, and customer locations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding transport operations.
• Resolve operational issues and ensure agreed KPIs and SLAs are achieved.
• Prepare operational and performance reports.
• Maintain excellent customer service while ensuring timely deliveries.
Sales Responsibilities
• Generate business by utilizing available truck capacity for domestic transportation jobs.
• Develop relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, import/export companies, and transport customers.
• Identify new business opportunities within the UAE road transport market.
• Negotiate transport rates and service agreements.
