<p>The Center for Quantum and Topological Systems (CQTS) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), UAE, invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate position in Experimental Quantum Science Instrumentation. The successful candidate will join the Quantum center and will focus primarily on the design, construction, and deployment of advanced instruments for quantum-optical and spin-based experiments. Applicants with a strong experimental background and a demonstrated interest in building new measurement platforms are especially encouraged to apply.</p><br><br>
<p>The selected candidate will work in a highly collaborative research environment within CQTS. The central responsibility of the position is instrument building: conceiving, prototyping, assembling, integrating, calibrating, automating, and troubleshooting custom experimental systems. These instruments may combine optical components, laser and spectroscopic methods, spin-control or magnetic-resonance techniques, electronics, data-acquisition hardware, and software control. The candidate will use these platforms to advance research in optics, spin physics, and related areas of quantum science, while collaborating with faculty, researchers, and students across CQTS and NYUAD. The successful applicant will also participate actively in undergraduate training through research supervision, laboratory instruction, and hands-on mentoring in experimental design and scientific instrument development.</p><br><br>
<p>Applicants should meet the following qualifications and possess relevant expertise:</p><br><br>

<li>A PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field, with a strong experimental research background.</li>

We invite you to be part of something bigger.</p><br><br><br><br><p><b><span>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</span></b></p><br><br><ul><li>Lead end-to-end warehouse and transportation operations to ensure products are received, stored, picked, and dispatched efficiently while maintaining service, quality, and cost targets.</li><li>Deliver industry-leading customer service by achieving On-Time In-Full (OTIF) targets and ensuring customer orders are fulfilled in line with agreed service levels.</li><li>Drive warehouse inventory accuracy through robust stock control processes, ensuring physical and system inventory reconciliation targets are consistently achieved.</li><li>Optimize fleet utilization, route planning, and manpower deployment to maximize productivity and reduce logistics operating costs.</li><li>Manage third-party logistics (3PL) partners to ensure compliance with contractual service levels, quality standards, and cost expectations.</li><li>Lead reverse logistics operations, ensuring timely processing of returns and customer credit notes within agreed turnaround times.</li><li>Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and deliver measurable cost savings.</li><li>Provide accurate operational reporting, performance analysis, and actionable insights to support business decision-making and drive performance improvements.</li><li>Build team capability through coaching, training, and performance management while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.</li><li>Champion health, safety, quality, and compliance standards across all logistics operations, ensuring a safe and sustainable working environment.</li></ul><br><p><b><span>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</span></b></p><br><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum 2-4 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or supply chain operations, preferably within FMCG or a fast-paced distribution environment.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, transportation planning, and third-party logistics (3PL) management.</li><li>Proficiency in SAP/WMS systems and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze operational data and generate actionable insights.</li><li>Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering operational results.</li></ul><br><p><b><span>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</span></b></p><br><br><ul><li>Experience with Power BI, logistics analytics tools, telematics systems, or continuous improvement projects.</li><li>Demonstrated experience leading operational teams and driving productivity, cost-saving, or process optimization initiatives.</li><li>Fluency in both English and Arabic.</li></ul><br><br><br><p><span>Unilever is an organisation committed to equity, inclusion and diversity </span><span>to drive our business results and create a better future, every day, for our diverse employees, global consumers, partners, and communities.
