This is an outpatient‑based (OPD) endocrinology role based at our HealthHub Clinic in Al Nahda, Dubai.
The position is well suited to a Specialist Endocrinologist with strong outpatient experience who is comfortable managing chronic endocrine conditions, long‑term follow‑up, and high patient volumes in a community clinic setting.
Candidates already familiar with the Al Nahda catchment area or similar high‑volume community clinics will be well positioned, though this is not a mandatory requirement.
<strong>Key Responsibilities</strong>
Provide comprehensive specialist endocrinology care in line with best‑practice clinical guidelines and Al‑Futtaim Health Medical Staff Bylaws
Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of endocrine and metabolic conditions, including diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, metabolic and lipid disorders, osteoporosis, and pituitary and adrenal conditions
Conduct detailed outpatient consultations and manage long‑term treatment and follow‑up plans
Order, interpret, and act on relevant laboratory and diagnostic investigations
Prescribe and monitor pharmacological therapies and provide clear guidance on medications, lifestyle modification, and preventive care
Support patients with complex or chronic endocrine conditions through structured follow‑up and care planning
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records
Liaise effectively with patients, families, primary care physicians, and other specialists to optimise clinical outcomes
Participate equitably in the on‑call roster, where applicable
Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental development activities

About This Role<br><br>As an Area Business Manager, Rare Diseases, you will play a critical role in driving patient identification, market development, and commercial success across the UAE and selected Gulf markets for Biogen’s Rare Disease portfolio.<br><br>This is not a traditional sales role. As the territory expert, you will own and drive your business independently, developing and executing territory, account, and customer engagement strategies while helping remove barriers to diagnosis, treatment access, and patient care. You will work across multiple functions and stakeholder groups, combining elements of account management, patient finding, market development, access support, and commercial execution.<br><br>You will build strong partnerships with physicians, multidisciplinary care teams, pharmacists, treatment centers, diagnosis centers, and other stakeholders involved in the rare disease patient journey. Establish and maintain strong relationships with neurologists, treatment centers, diagnosis centers, KMEs, and other key stakeholders involved in rare disease care. Develop annual territory business plans with clear account priorities, opportunities, risks, and action plans. Provide field insights and customer feedback to support commercial strategy and integrated customer engagement planning.<br><br>Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration<br><br>Mobilize internal and external resources to address customer needs and improve patient outcomes. Work collaboratively with Centers of Excellence and treatment centers to optimize care pathways and address operational challenges impacting patients.<br><br>Scientific & Market Expertise<br><br>Maintain a deep understanding of rare diseases, treatment landscapes, market dynamics, and healthcare systems. Stay current on clinical data, competitive developments, and emerging trends within the rare disease space.
