and Islamic trade booking controls, off-market monitoring, counterparty exposure monitoring, reconciliation checks and control reporting are performed consistently and escalated appropriately.</li><li>The role works closely with GM MO Trade Support, Front Office, Global Markets Operations, Product Control, Market Risk, Finance, Compliance, Technology, Credit, Reference Data and regional teams to support issue resolution, root-cause analysis, control evidence and operating-model discipline.</li><li>The role does not own Dealer Assist, client activation coordination, T0 Controls</strong></li><li>Perform trading permissions control checks against approved desk mandates, product permissions, system entitlements and operating standards.</li><li>Perform booking template and desk business model control checks to identify booking inconsistencies, inappropriate template usage or policy deviations.</li><li>Support review of internal trade booking controls and Islamic trade booking controls where applicable.</li><li>Review amendment and cancellation control evidence, including approvals, rationale, thresholds and escalation requirements.</li><li>Escalate breaches, repeated exceptions or unresolved control issues to the VP & Head of GM MO Control & Governance and relevant owner functions.<br>Risk Monitoring and Surveillance Support</li><li>Perform off-market trade monitoring checks and coordinate escalation of indicators requiring review by Product Control, Market Risk, Front Office or Compliance.</li><li>Support counterparty exposure monitoring activities by tracking exceptions, threshold breaches, pending clarifications and required stakeholder actions.<br>Validate completeness of monitoring outputs, exception comments, investigation evidence and escalation status.<br>Identify trends in off-market indicators, exposure breaches, late actions or recurring control exceptions.</li><li><p>Provide inputs into risk-monitoring dashboards, KRI reporting and governance forums.</p><br><p><strong>Reconciliations and Exception Governance</strong></p><br></li><li>Perform or oversee assigned internal reconciliation checks, including front-to-back, system-to-system, T0 and position-related reconciliations where applicable.</li><li>Support external reconciliation follow-up with custodians, counterparties, brokers, clearing channels or market infrastructure providers where applicable.</li><li>Track failed trades, alleged trades, settlement fails, aged breaks and unresolved exceptions within agreed escalation standards.</li><li>Coordinate root-cause analysis for recurring breaks, aged items and high-impact exceptions.</li><li><p>Ensure reconciliation evidence, exception commentary and remediation actions are complete, accurate and available for management review.</p><br><p><strong>Lifecycle Events and Control Support</strong></p><br></li><li>Monitor assigned lifecycle event controls, including credit events, corporate actions, settlement-related lifecycle updates and other post-trade control triggers where applicable.</li><li>Coordinate with Trade Support, Operations, Product Control, Market Risk and other stakeholders to ensure lifecycle-related control issues are investigated and escalated.</li><li>Track open lifecycle-event control items, evidence completion, owner actions and closure status.</li><li>Support timely escalation of high-impact lifecycle events or unresolved control matters to the VP & Head of GM MO Control & Governance.</li><li><p>Contribute to remediation of inputs for management dashboards, KPI/KRI reporting, control packs and governance forums relating to assigned control activities.</li><li>Provide accurate commentary on exceptions, aged items, trends, enablement, while Control & Governance owns independent control monitoring, evidence, exception tracking and governance escalation.</li><li>Support audit, RCSA, KPI/KRI and control-effectiveness processes by maintaining accurate records, timely evidence and clear action tracking.</li><li><p>Exercise judgement within delegated authority for prioritising control reviews, coordinating issue Risk Management or a related discipline; professional qualification preferred.</li><li>7+ years of experience in Global Markets Operations, Middle Office, Control, Governance, Reconciliations, Regulatory Reporting, Product Control, Market Risk, Collateral Management or related first-line control functions.</li><li>Strong understanding of Global Markets products including FX, Money Markets, Rates, Derivatives, Commodities, Capital Markets and structured products.<br>Good knowledge of trade lifecycle controls, booking controls, amendment/cancellation controls, reconciliations, settlement-fail monitoring, lifecycle events and exception management.</li><li>Experience preparing control evidence, issue logs, reconciliation commentary, KPI/KRI inputs, audit evidence and You will define how payments are presented, authorized, captured, settled, and funded across our hospitality-focused ecosystem, ensuring reliability, security, and compliance while driving a best-in-class experience for restaurants and other hospitality merchants.<br><br>While your primary charter is the broader payments product, you will also partner with our money movement and remittance functions to make sure merchant funding is accurate, predictable, and transparent—ensuring the economics and timing of merchant processing show up cleanly in our product surfaces.<br><br>We are looking for a strong product leader—someone who can set a clear vision, rally engineering, design, operations, GTM, and external partners around it, and make confident trade-offs in a high-stakes, highly regulated domain. Your success will be measured by payment performance (authorization rates, latency, and resiliency), merchant satisfaction, funding accuracy, and the ability to unlock new payment capabilities that help merchants grow revenue and reduce operational friction.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br><br>Payments Strategy & Execution:<br><br>Own the end-to-end product roadmap for payments across card-present and card-not-present environments, with a focus on hospitality use cases like table service, counter service, bars, quick-service, and multi-location groups. Define how each payment media type is presented and accepted—chip, contactless, digital wallets, ecommerce tokens, and white label loyalty—and set the metrics that measure acceptance health. Translate complex payment flows into simple, intuitive experiences for merchants and their staff (refunds, tips, adjustments, partial authorizations, and offline/stand-in authorization). Monitor and improve key payment performance metrics—authorization rates, chargebacks, declines, disputes, latency, reconciliation accuracy—through rigorous data-driven experimentation. Partner with risk, compliance, and security to ensure adherence to network rules and PCI DSS, and with GTM to package and position payment capabilities that differentiate Spot On for hospitality. Demonstrated product leadership—able to set a clear vision, influence senior stakeholders, make confident trade-offs under ambiguity, and rally engineering, design, and GTM teams around shared outcomes. Deep understanding of card-present and card-not-present payments, including authorization, capture, clearing, settlement, tokenization, risk, and chargeback flows. Working familiarity with merchant processing economics—interchange, scheme fees, and how those show up in settlement and remittance to merchants. Experience working with payment processors, acquirers, gateways, or card networks, ideally in a platform or multi-tenant merchant environment. Strong analytical skills, including comfort working with large payment datasets, building dashboards, defining KPIs, and using data to drive prioritization and experimentation. Proven success shipping complex, technical products that require deep collaboration with engineering and operations teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payment concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. If you’re looking to make an impact with heart and hustle, Spot On is the place for you.<br><br>Payments Strategy & Execution:<br><br>Own the end-to-end product roadmap for payments across card-present and card-not-present environments, with a focus on hospitality use cases like table service, counter service, bars, quick-service, and multi-location groups. Define how each payment media type is presented and accepted—chip, contactless, digital wallets, ecommerce tokens, and white label loyalty—and set the metrics that measure acceptance health. Translate complex payment flows into simple, intuitive experiences for merchants and their staff (refunds, tips, adjustments, partial authorizations, and offline/stand-in authorization). Monitor and improve key payment performance metrics—authorization rates, chargebacks, declines, disputes, latency, reconciliation accuracy—through rigorous data-driven experimentation. Partner with risk, compliance, and security to ensure adherence to network rules and PCI DSS, and with GTM to package and position payment capabilities that differentiate Spot On for hospitality. Lead discovery with external processors, acquirers, gateways, and partners to evaluate new capabilities, routing options, and cost-optimization opportunities.<br><br>Money Movement & Remittance (partnership Scope):<br><br>Partner with money movement and remittance teams to ensure merchant processing funds settle on time, with accurate fees, adjustments, and chargeback handling reflected in merchant-facing reporting. Feed payment product decisions (routing, interchange optimization, surcharging/dual pricing) back into funding and remittance workflows so merchant payouts stay predictable and explainable.<br><br>Cross-Functional Leadership:<br><br>Act as the primary product point of contact for payments across Spot On, aligning stakeholders around a clear vision, roadmap, and success metrics. Facilitate cross-functional decision-making, balancing technical constraints, regulatory considerations, and merchant needs to arrive at pragmatic, high-impact solutions. Communicate clearly and consistently with executives and senior leaders on trade-offs, risks, dependencies, and progress for payment initiatives. Mentor and influence peers and adjacent product teams on payment best practices, shared capabilities, and platform standards to avoid fragmentation and duplicate solutions. Contribute to a culture of accountability, urgency, and ownership, ensuring that cross-functional teams deliver high-quality releases on time and learn quickly from launches.<br><br>Qualifications:<br><br>5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on payments, fintech, or closely related financial services products. Demonstrated product leadership—able to set a clear vision, influence senior stakeholders, make confident trade-offs under ambiguity, and rally engineering, design, and GTM teams around shared outcomes. Deep understanding of card-present and card-not-present payments, including authorization, capture, clearing, settlement, tokenization, risk, and chargeback flows. Working familiarity with merchant processing economics—interchange, scheme fees, and how those show up in settlement and remittance to merchants. Experience working with payment processors, acquirers, gateways, or card networks, ideally in a platform or multi-tenant merchant environment. Strong analytical skills, including comfort working with large payment datasets, building dashboards, defining KPIs, and using data to drive prioritization and experimentation. Proven success shipping complex, technical products that require deep collaboration with engineering and operations teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payment concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Customer-centric mindset with experience conducting discovery, user interviews, and feedback sessions with merchants or similar B2B customers.
