Job Description<br><br>The Engineer/Core Network Maintenance role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our fixed transport network infrastructure. You will be responsible for a range of activities, including traffic management, network maintenance, and site quality assurance. Carries out simple and routine provision/maintenance & fault rectification tasks in respect of the assigned Core(OTN /IP CORE Nodes) and Fixed Network elements (GPON), attends to the assigned major/non-routine tasks independently. Assists in carrying out the prescribed routine tests using different types of test equipment. Implements the fault rectification procedures of equipment, ensures conformance to the prescribed standards and procedures. Support maintenance activities including requisitioning, receiving, acceptance testing, mobilization to work site, handling store issue and utilizatio of spares, tools and equipment. Attends and clears faults reported by NOC teams. Furthermore, informs the major faults to superiors for review. Assists in locating and clearing Junction F. O Cable Network faults. Work in shifts and attend assigned duties including call-out/emergencies. To be able to use craft terminal/test equipment to access & localize faults. Maintains and updates records in section DB. Demonstrates initiative in updating knowledge and skills in respect of the new equipment technology introduced to core networks. Undertakes full responsibility of equipment in his work area based on the scope assigned to him.<br><br>Qualifications<br><br> Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Fresh graduate with academic knowledge in telecom network operations and maintenance, including Transport, IP Switching, GPON, and Mobile networks. Strong knowledge of fixed transport networks, IP-Core, and Access Equipment (GPON) technologies. Hands-on experience with network maintenance tools and equipment, including testing and troubleshooting. The Engineering Senior Underwriter is responsible for underwriting and managing engineering insurance risks, including mainly Contractors’ All Risks (CAR), Erection All Risks (EAR), Contractors’ Plant & Machinery (CPM).
