Job Title: BMS Application Engineer<br><br>Primary Location: UTS Carrier, Palladium Building, 2nd Floor, Al Quoz, Dubai, UAE<br><br>Work Arrangement: Onsite<br><br>Role Purpose<br><br>The Application Engineer is responsible for supporting the pre-sales and sales process for Controls, Building Automation Systems (BAS), and Chiller Plant Manager (CPM) solutions. The role focuses on developing technical solutions, preparing quotations, estimations, technical submittals, and project documentation while ensuring alignment with customer requirements, project specifications, Carrier standards, and quality expectations.<br><br>The role works closely with Sales, Application, Operations, Project teams, consultants, contractors, and customers to deliver optimized solutions that meet technical requirements, project budgets, and business objectives.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Review project documentation, including equipment shop drawings, mechanical plans, specifications, and tender documents to identify technical requirements, compatibility issues, and design discrepancies. Read, understand, and interpret MEP drawings and project specifications. Perform quantity take-offs from tender drawings, RFQs, and project documentation. Prepare Input/Output (I/O) lists, including controller and sensor selection based on customer design standards. Develop technical submittals, including:Data Point Schedules Control Schematics Sequence of Operations Project Schedules Technical documentation for various control solutions Prepare quotations, cost estimations, and technical proposals in coordination with Sales Engineers. Support Sales teams throughout the pre-sales process by providing technical expertise and solution recommendations. Review project requirements and develop optimized solutions through value engineering to meet customer budgets. Ensure compliance with project specifications, customer requirements, and technical standards. Coordinate with third-party suppliers to obtain updated pricing and technical information. Ensure all opportunities and quotations are created and maintained through CRM/SAP systems. Maintain accurate records of inquiries, quotations, project status, and customer updates. Follow up with contractors and customers regarding project progress and update CRM/SAP accordingly. Assist in defining project scope with customers and consultants. Develop sequences of operations based on HVAC/BAS principles and project design requirements. Prepare Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals for supplied systems, equipment, and devices. Coordinate technical requirements with Application, Sales, and Operations teams. Create Controls/BMS documentation using VISIO and Auto CAD. Attend internal and external meetings with Sales, Project teams, contractors, consultants, and customers. Participate in Bid/No Bid review meetings. Maintain daily activity records and provide updates during weekly team meetings. Ensure compliance with Carrier Ethics & Compliance policies, EH&S requirements, Quality Management System, and approval processes.<br>Minimum Requirements<br><br>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation).4–5 years of relevant experience in HVAC Controls, BAS, BMS, Chiller Plant Manager solutions, or similar industries. Strong technical knowledge of HVAC control systems and building automation solutions. Experience in application engineering, technical sales support, estimation, and project proposals. Knowledge of project specifications, tender processes, and technical documentation. Understanding of Total Quality Management, ISO processes, and procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Customer-focused mindset with strong teamwork capabilities. Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage. Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Auto CAD, and VISIO. Load Analysis: validate complex structural calculations, including dead and live loads, wind, snow, seismic, and transit/lifting loads. Role Purpose To coordinate and supervise the installation of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems on Innovo MEP projects, ensuring ELV systems are installed safely, accurately, and in compliance with project specifications and authority requirements.
