Job Description<br><br>Job Overview:<br><br>The Principal Process Engineer is responsible for interpreting internal or external business issues and recommending best practices. They will be tasked with solving complex process engineering-related problems and will work independently with minimal guidance. The Principal Process Engineer may be responsible for leading functional teams or projects and is regarded as a specialist in the field of process engineering. As such, they must have in-depth expertise in process engineering as well as broad knowledge of the process engineering discipline within the engineering function.<br><br>Responsibilities<br><br>Key Tasks and Responsibilities: <br><br>Perform conceptual, FEED, and detailed analyses and design as per design basis, project specifications, design codes, and standards Apply in-depth skills and broad knowledge of the business to address complex problems and nonstandard situations Prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and - procedures Manage own time to meet objectives and (as Lead Engineer) forecast and plan resource requirements Clearly communicate and explain difficult concepts and persuade others to adopt a point of view When acting as Lead Engineer, in addition:Direct medium or large Engineering team as a Lead Engineer Lead the Discipline engineering design of the assigned work area and completed within the planned schedule and budget, in accordance with standards, MDR, and project-specific procedures and to a high professional standard Plan, organize, and direct all aspects of Discipline execution on the assigned project including scope, deliverables, schedule, and all manpower resources - agree allocations with the Discipline Manager Ensure interfaces and deliverables are clearly identified Maintain responsibility for progress and productivity, identifying any required corrective action Act as project representative for Discipline during meetings with the Project Team, Customer discipline lead, and relevant agencies such as certifying authorities, auditors, third parties, etc. Become fully familiar with the project scope of work, specifications, schedule, and all inter-discipline requirements; Eaton has approximately 96,000 employees and sells products to customers in more than 175 countries.</p><br><br><br><p>The <strong>White Space Application Engineer</strong> is primarily responsible for defining technical solutions and supporting the quotation of Eaton White Space solutions for large data center customers across EMEA.</p><br><br><p>Building on Eaton’s strong success in the “Grey Space” (e.g. UPS, transformers, upstream power distribution), we are accelerating our growth in the <strong>“White Space” data center segment</strong>, offering a comprehensive portfolio including <strong>Rack PDUs, Direct Chip Cooling, containment systems, IT racks, connectivity, KVMs, ATS, and software solutions</strong>.</p><br><br><p>To support this growth, you will collaborate closely with Eaton’s sales teams and partner ecosystem (consultants, contractors, integrators, and resellers) to ensure the right solutions are designed, positioned, and delivered to customers.</p><br><br>What you’ll do:
<br><ul><li>Manage incoming technical and quotation requests from the EMEA sales organization</li><li>Define and design tailored White Space solutions aligned with customer needs</li><li>Prepare accurate technical quotations, including supporting drawings (CAD)</li><li>Support sales teams in solution positioning and proposal development</li><li>Present and explain technical solutions directly to customers when required</li><li>Conduct win/loss analysis to improve future opportunities</li><li>Gather and share customer feedback to support product and solution enhancement</li></ul><br>Qualifications:
<br><ul><li>Bachelor degree in Engineering</li><li>Knowledge of IT infrastructure and applications is a strong advantage</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in Application Engineering, Technical Support, or Pre-Sales roles</li><li>Experience in data center or IT infrastructure environments preferred</li></ul><br>Skills:
