<p>One of the key flagship products of the division is Oson Neo, a state—of-the-art digital fintech solution developing in a regulated environment (DFSA). To bring the product to a new stage and ensure its full technological independence, we are creating a dedicated, sovereign engineering team from scratch, led by the Head of Engineering.
Responsibilities
• Development and Product Management: Full technical responsibility for the architecture, stability and continuous development of the Oson Neo fintech product. Interact with the Head of Product to synchronize the product roadmap and technical priorities.
• Building a team from scratch: Designing the target structure and processes of a new engineering team. Independent recruitment, adaptation, and development of technical specialists (starting with backend and integration engineers). Formation of a strong engineering culture (code review, CI/CD, quality standards).
• Integrations and vendors: Technical coordination and management of integration processes with BaaS providers, partner bank (Emirates NBD) and Visa (Visa issuing) payment system.
• Regulatory compliance: Fruitful cooperation with the Compliance department to ensure full compliance of the technical architecture and data security with the strict requirements of the DFSA financial regulator, and preparation of the system for audits.
• Cross-team partnership: Diplomatic coordination with the group's CTO on issues of common standards and the holding's infrastructure to maintain a balance of interests and avoid duplication, without operational subordination to the current technical structure.</p><p>• Experience and leadership: More than 7 years of total experience in software development, including at least 3 years as a technical leader (Head of Engineering, Engineering Manager, Tech Lead). Having successful practical experience building and scaling engineering teams from scratch or almost from scratch.
• Fintech expertise: A deep understanding of the specifics of Fintech and the payment sector. Experience working with payment system architecture, integrations with traditional banks, IBAN providers, and BaaS platforms. The experience of working with core banking/wallet solutions (for example, Crassula or analogues) and Visa/Mastercard issuing processes will be a great advantage.
• Regulated environment: Practical experience in designing and maintaining systems operating in highly regulated jurisdictions (DFSA, FCA, MAS or similar). Understanding data security standards and auditing.
• Technical stack and architecture: High level of personal technical competence. The ability to dive deeply into code and architectural solutions, act as an expert for the team, and not just perform managerial functions.
