<p>Learn the project, study drawings, specification, approved submittals of each trade, so he can plan carefully ahead of commencement of work.
Ensure that site team is fully aware of the relevant specifications , drawings, construction procedures, method statement, safe work practices, risk assessment etc.,
Coordinate site activities on daily basis. Monitor plant & equipment on site, ensure proper timely maintenance and operations.
Ensure that the work is executed in accordance with company integrated management system requirements.
Coordinate the duties of Site Engineers, Foreman, other Site Staff and ensure that the construction team is organized to achieve the optimum productivity and carry out works in most efficient manner and in the stipulated time, budget and quality.
Control the sub-contractor site activities as per specification and their quality of works and co-ordinate their requirements for uninterrupted progress.
Prepare quantity take-off for all materials for the project and prepare schedule of materials forms.
Prepare materials requisitions for the site and counter sign the materials requisitions prepared by the Site Engineer and authorize it from PM/CM.
Check materials received on site to be in compliance with requirements.
Check and oversee the store material records on a weekly basis. Set up the minimum quantity to be available of specific items to enable the Store Keeper to re-order same in a timely manner.
Control and oversee monthly manpower report prepared by time keeper and Project Engineer and submit to CM/PM.
Achieve the productivity rate for DDC activities as per the project productivity schedule in co-ordination with CM/PM.
Make sure that all works are properly checked prior to consultant inspection.
Make sure that consultant’s comments/remarks on daily progress of work are properly implemented.
Attend all weekly progress meetings and prepare monthly report for labour and daily site progress report.
Check setting out of works executed by Foreman and Site Engineer. Keep constant check on all trades, overseeing workmanship and materials, and ensure efficient labour distribution and quality of works to the desired standard and expectations of the management.
Check Non-Conformance Reports/safety violations both internal and external and ensure that they are closed.
Collect data on the performance of supervisory staff/workers, material and machinery and review against the planned output. Monitor and evaluates all Quality and HSE implementation & report to Project/Construction Manager/QHSE Manager for improvement.
Participate in QHSE meetings and tool box talks and ensure that all risk assessment is carried out as per the safe work practices.
</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum 7-10 years site experience of which at least 3-5 years as Project Engineer in a contracting company, preferably in UAE. Proven track record in the successful completion of building projects from start to finish. Confidence in dealing with International consulting and project management companies.
In depth knowledge in construction management, processes, means and methods. Good command of the English language. Certification in PMP will be advantageous.

<p>Ensure contractors labourers on site are following safety procedures and report to project manager in case of deficiency.</p>
<p>Closely monitor site activities, on a daily basis, issuing non-compliance and submit reports to the project manager.</p>
<p>Participate in weekly meetings and monthly executive meetings.</p>
<p>Coordinating with company senior safety engineer to ensure that HSE policy is implemented by the contractor.</p>
<p>Participate with PMC staff in reviewing and assessing of close-out report as submitted by contractor.</p>
<p>Inform themselves of the relevant quality, environmental, safety and occupational health policies, manuals and procedures in place within Hill International, and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.</p>
<p>Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.</p>
<h4>Qualifications</h4>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.</li>
<li>12 years’ experience in project health and safety on large new build projects.</li>
<li>ISO 14000 & ISO 45001 auditor certified.</li>
<li>NEBOSH IGC or similar recognized Level 3 HSE qualification.</li>
<li>NVQ Level 5 diploma in occupational health & safety management.</li>
<li>Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Practitioner Certificate (ADOSH/OSHAD-SF).</li>
<li>Excellent presentation skills with solid communication capabilities and practices, both oral and written.</li>
