Our projects are supported by a strong commitment to quality, technical compliance, safety, and reliable project delivery.<br>About the Role We are looking for an experienced Façade QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities across façade projects. The successful candidate will ensure that materials, fabrication, installation, inspections, testing, and handover activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality plans, contractual requirements, and applicable standards.<br>Key Responsibilities Implement and maintain the project Quality Management System, Project Quality Plan, Method Statements, and Inspection and Test Plans. Review project specifications, approved shop drawings, material submittals, and relevant quality documentation. Inspect façade materials and installation works to verify compliance with approved requirements. Conduct quality inspections for curtain wall systems, glazing, aluminium and ACP cladding, louvers, balustrades, skylights, canopies, steel support structures, sealants, and waterproofing works. Verify dimensions, alignment, levels, tolerances, workmanship, and installation quality. Prepare and submit Requests for Inspection and coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, and main contractors. Coordinate or witness relevant factory, site, and façade performance tests. Identify non-conforming work, issue and track NCRs, and verify the completion of corrective actions. Maintain inspection records, test reports, material records, quality logs, punch lists, and handover documentation. Prepare periodic QA/QC reports and communicate quality issues to the engineering and construction teams. Ensure that inspections are conducted in accordance with project HSE requirements. <br>Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 10 years of experience in façade construction and QA/QC. Demonstrated experience with high-rise, commercial, hospitality, residential, or mixed-use projects. Strong practical knowledge of curtain wall systems, glazing, aluminium cladding, ACP cladding, and steel support systems. Experience reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, Method Statements, and Inspection and Test Plans. Experience managing RFIs, NCRs, inspection reports, testing records, and handover documentation. Good understanding of façade installation tolerances, waterproofing, sealants, and quality inspection procedures. Strong coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with consultants, clients, contractors, and internal project teams. <br>Preferred Qualifications ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification. Relevant QA/QC certification. Location: Dubai / Abu Dhabi, UAE / Saudi Arabia (Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar) (hybrid); travel across GCC and occasional international travel<br><br>Reports to: Heavy Industries Senior Risk Engineer.<br><br>Role summary: We are seeking a hands-on, technically minded individual with a strong heavy industries engineering pedigree to drive value for Heavy industries clients across the GCC through innovative risk engineering and consulting. The successful candidate will be a technical “heavy hitter” in Heavy Industries engineering who can shift client conversations from transactional surveys to value-adding consulting engagements, expand Property risk consulting penetration into the broking client base, and raise the visibility of our capabilities across heavy industries forums and networks.<br><br>Key responsibilities:<br><br>Client value creation and delivery<br>Lead high-value consulting engineering engagements for mining clients that move beyond transactional surveys to risk-informed, strategic solutions that support clients’ operational and business objectives. Design and deliver risk and underwriting survey and consulting scopes that clearly articulate client value (risk reduction, operational resilience, capital prioritization, insurance optimisation). Translate technical findings into actionable commercial recommendations for clients and broking partners.<br><br><br>Business development & growth<br>Support business development by actively looking for expansion opportunities on client book, considering broader risk consulting solutions. Support growth initiatives and consulting engagements in area of expertise.<br><br><br>People & capability building<br>Develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers and early-career consultants; foster transfer of technical skills and consulting best practices. Create scalable ways of working, standard methodologies, templates and knowledge products to elevate quality and consistency.<br><br><br>Collaboration & cross-functional working<br>Work closely with the Heavy Industries Broking Leader, Client Service teams, broking teams, strategy consultants and Marsh’s global heavy industries community to leverage expertise, co-sell services and deliver integrated solutions. Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex client issues and ensure seamless delivery between consulting and broking functions.<br><br><br>Thought leadership & external engagement<br>Represent Marsh at conferences, technical forums and client events; publish thought leadership that highlights innovative risk management approaches. Build relationships with key technical influencers, insurers, reinsurers and industry associations to enhance Marsh’s reputation and create referral pathways.<br><br><br>Operational accountability<br>Ensure efficient project delivery, margin management, and high client satisfaction. Maintain rigorous risk management and quality assurance on all technical outputs.<br><br>Key deliverables / KPIs:<br><br>Project/survey delivery quality and timeliness Growth in PRC penetration across broking Heavy Industries clients Client satisfaction and repeat business rates Team development metrics; successful transfer of skills to early-career colleagues<br><br>Qualifications & experience:<br><br>Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field (required). Minimum 10 years’ professional experience in heavy industries engineering; significant time in operational/technical roles. Proven track record in consulting, technical project delivery or operational leadership on large-scale mining operations. Postgraduate qualification in business, management or related field is advantageous. Experience in insurance, risk management, PRC-style surveys or working with brokers/insurers is highly advantageous. Demonstrable experience leading teams, coaching junior staff and delivering commercial results.<br><br>Technical skills & competencies:<br><br>Deep technical expertise in mine engineering practices, risk assessment methodologies, site survey execution and technical reporting. Strong commercial acumen: ability to build scopes, price consulting work, and manage margins. Excellent client-facing skills: consultative selling, negotiating, and relationship management. Great written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex technical issues into concise business recommendations.
